From first meeting him through email, to meeting him in person at the car lot, to his introducing me to Debra Avants-King to start the finance transaction, every encounter was a positive one. Deb helped by finding me a lower interest rate for my car loan and was also great to work with. My experience buying my RAV4 was the most positive experience I have had buying a car. I called Stevison along with many other Toyota dealers. I was treated like a customer and not a Dollar sign. I imagine I'm just like most people who stroll onto a car lot. I know the people will be nice to me, because it's in their best interest. But I also know it's a business, so underneath all the smiles and h lot. I know the people will be nice to me, because it's in their best interest. But I also know it's a business, so underneath all the smiles and handshakes, they'll be doing their best to make a good profit. There's nothing wrong with this dynamic--it's just the reality of the car business. On the surface you're friends, but underneath you can't help but feel like adversaries. Buy Denny and the crew I dealt with at Stevinson did a subtle, but amazing thing. There was never a fake friendly feeling. But neither was there the feeling of being adversaries. It was just a handful of people being very real with one another. What I needed, what they could do for me, and ultimately we met in a place where we were all happy. I can't guarantee that you'll go to Stevinson and get the deal of the century. I did really well, and you might too. But I absolutely can guarantee that you will get a collaborative experience without all the usual BS associated with car sales. And if you work with Denny, I can guarantee you'll have a few laughs, too. Great guy, great deal, great retail experience. More
We had been to several different dealerships looking at numerous cars, all different makes. There was only one Corolla on the lot due to high demand. Tony asked us if we'd considered the Prius and we basically told him that we weren't interested in the Prius, mostly because it was an electric car and both my husband and I were very leary about it and it was a little more money than we wanted to spend. Tony had us look at one on the showroom floor, "just for kicks", and he told us all the good things about Prius. I sat in the driver's seat, put the seat all the way back and couldn't touch the gas pedals! (Very important as I am tall) I then put it at a comfortable notch, then sat in the back seat where the kids would be. WOW! You should see the room! For a compact car, I was totally impressed with the room. Then Tony asked if we'd like to take one for a test drive. That was what really sold us. The Prius had much more power and get up & go than any of the other cars we'd test driven. It was everything we were looking for plus 50 mpg combined mileage. I got my Prius yesterday and I think that's the smartest thing I have spent that much money on in a very long time. Paperwork took awhile (always does) and one form had to be redone because info was incorrect, but it was redone quickly and I got out of there shortly thereafter. Michael was patient and did explain everything.....extended warranty, additional options that were available and their costs, etc. The final price was a bit cheaper than quoted and I didn't feel like they tried to pull any "fast ones" on me. The value for my trade-in wasn't exactly what I wanted, but it was much more than any other dealership was willing to pay. Overall, I had an excellent experience at Stevinson West. I would definitely do business with them in the future! More
