Service Department I have purchased 3 Rav 4's from Stevenson Toyota of Jacksonville. I used to think they were the greatest but dealing with the service department and Amanda Carnevale I have had some of the worst experiences with a dealership service department. I purchased a Rav in 2012 and I have it serviced every 5000 miles. The time before last that I had my car serviced as I was driving away, several of my dash lights lit up! I took the car back and she said it was an air filter clamp that wasn't secured and that it was now fixed. I drove my car to work and when I left that evening the dash lights lit up again! I ended up back at Toyota to fix it again! My next 5000 mile service, after I drove away my lights flashed on but went out on their own. I called the dealership and told Amanda that this situation happened again but they went out on their own. After driving about 1000 miles my dash lights came on again! I took it right in and spoke to Amanda. I reminded her that I didn't have this problem until they serviced it. (You would think that they would have at least tried to make me happy as a customer and offer a free oil change next time or something since I was in their shop 3 times in one day and for the work I missed over the issue.) Now today they charged me over $100.00 and put a new gas cap on!!! It isn't the gas cap, it is how the service department is putting back together what they took apart. I could have purchased a gas cap for less than what they charged me. I personally think they fixed the clamp and didn't want to own it so they said they had to run diagnostics on my car and put on a new gas cap. She said they documented it so if it happens again it will go toward my warranty. I don't feel the customer service is very good at all. I did get a new gas cap but when I looked it wasn't etched in gold, silver or anything considering how much they charged me for an issue they caused! UPDATE: George Popajohn, General Manager, called me this morning and wants to make things right. I explained my dissatisfaction regarding the Service Department and how I felt this was an issue that they caused. He was very nice and wants to meet with me this afternoon. You know, just the acknowledgement of my issue makes me feel better! I will have an update after my meeting with him this afternoon. More

Service Total waste of time dealing with Stevenson since their move to the new facility. I have sold my Tundra and will never buy another Toyota because of th Total waste of time dealing with Stevenson since their move to the new facility. I have sold my Tundra and will never buy another Toyota because of their poor service and will now do the same with the 2013 Scion I bought less than a year ago from them. When the service department tells you the tire pressure light is nothing more than an annoyance and they don't know why it's on there's a problem. I'd rather take the loss on the vehicle than ever have to deal with them again. More
This last time I visited this dealership will be my last. I was looking to buy a new vehicle, and had a horrible experience. The salesman was nice and polite all the way until the time came to negotiating I was looking to buy a new vehicle, and had a horrible experience. The salesman was nice and polite all the way until the time came to negotiating a deal. When my husband and I expressed our dissatisfaction with the offer they wanted to present, the salesman looked at us and said "well if you don't like the price, you are looking for too much car." Really?!?!? Needless to say, we had nothing left to say to this man, and we left. We traveled an hour and half to Greenville Toyota, and received amazing customer service and bought the same vehicle at a much more reasonable price. No one in my family will EVER purchase a vehicle from Stevenson again. More
Absolutely terrible experience at Stevenson Toyota, Jacksonville, NC! Took my 2008 Prius in for an oil change and check-up. As soon as I got there I was told it would cost about $891!!! I could not bel Jacksonville, NC! Took my 2008 Prius in for an oil change and check-up. As soon as I got there I was told it would cost about $891!!! I could not believe it! They had not even look at my vehicle! I asked for an explanation and I was told that they needed to change all the fluids, filters, and numerous other "standard" maintenance issues. I was shocked! I immediately left Stevenson Toyota and drove to Precision Tune Auto Care on Western. $23 for an oil change, tire rotation, and full inspection. Only thing they found in the inspection was they suggested a new air filter. I drove to Auto Zone and purchased a new air filter for $15. Total cost = $38. If you are considering taking your car to a dealer, I STRONGLY suggest NOT using Stevenson Toyota. They will openly rip you off! More
Best dealership I have ever been to. Went to other ones and they were trying to get us into the car that they wanted to sell us, when we went here we told them what we wanted and were looking for and they and they were trying to get us into the car that they wanted to sell us, when we went here we told them what we wanted and were looking for and they worked for us. They did such a great job and treated us so good we went back two months later and I traded in my Honda Pilot and they made a great deal for it and gave me a great deal on a Truck of my dreams. I highly recommend buying used or new from them anywhere else and you will be running into jerks. Just ask for Santos. More
This rating relates to the Service dept. As I walked in the auto bay where the service advisors are, the first 2(1 woman and 1 man) CLEARLY knew I was there and refused to look up, even to say hello. The the auto bay where the service advisors are, the first 2(1 woman and 1 man) CLEARLY knew I was there and refused to look up, even to say hello. The 3rd person just past the service entrance acknowledged me and took care of receiving my Sienna for an oil change. He explained oil change options, I choose one and waited in the waiting area. I did have an appt for the oil change and the hour+ time for the oil change(with the "we have to show you your air filters") was reasonable. What wasn't reasonable was that I had JUST changed my cabin air filter only days before the oil change and what I was shown CLEARLY was not my cabin air filter, but since I did not write my name on my cabin air filter before installing it, I decided not to call them on this. BTW, I now write my name in multiple places on my cabin air filter AND engine filter. After I paid for the oil change, I opened my glove box to put something away and there were greasy finger printers on the inside of my glove box and the back edges, enough so, that I walked back into the service advisor and asked for a rag to wipe off the greasy finger prints. He sent the service tech with cleaner to wipe up the greasy finger prints. While I waited on him to clean the glove box, I opened the hood and looked over the engine, checked the oil level which was CLEARLY over the full line on the dip stick but ALSO noticed that my engine coolant AND windshield fluid had NOT been "topped" off. When I asked the tech to top these off, he huffed off, came back with fluids to top off what is advertised to be completed on each oil change and walked off. I wanted to thank him for the extra attention and say that it was okay if he simply overlooked the "details" of greasy finger prints and not topping off my fluids as mistakes do happen, but his attitude as well as the attitude in the service dept is terrible. Sorry, but when I am in the market for another Toyota, possibly a Highlander, there is NO chance I will purchase from this dealership. More
The dealership was offering this sales event where if you have up to $9K in negative equity, they would take care of that and let you start fresh in a brand new vehicle. I don't know about anyone else, but t have up to $9K in negative equity, they would take care of that and let you start fresh in a brand new vehicle. I don't know about anyone else, but to me that's saying that the negative equity will not be put on the new car.... Needless to say, the sales flyer lied. And not only that, but from what the scion website states, if you're military (prior or active) you get a $1000 dollar rebate. I was told I could not since I'm not active anymore. Then also, I'm graduating college soon and I was told I would have to have my degree already. Whereas on the scion website, it states to get the rebate you either have to have one already, or a job lined up, or in the next 6 months be graduating....I had to explain all this to the salesman! Not only that, but also for my trade, they offered me $2000+ less than what the Stevenson Kia dealership one building over was going to offer me! Also, since my current vehicle is from the Stevenson Automotive Group, I got the extended warranty and the gap insurance. When I told him (Mike) that I had the extended warranty and the gap insurance and that should take off from my negative equity and all, he told me no and started to explain to me what an extended warranty, gap insurance, and negative equity was! And when I said the exact same thing again, he said, "Oh, you purchased your vehicle from Stevenson? Did you get gap or an extended warranty; cause if you did you can use that toward your negative equity." I told him "that's what I just said!" And when they ran all my numbers, without giving me my military discount (which I was also told I could get over at Stevenson Kia) and not taking care of my negative equity as promised and stated in the sales flyer, my payment sky rocketed! I laughed and told him no thanks and to get me my keys and the sales flyer. Got me my keys but did not get me the sales flyer and pretty much made it a point that I can't read while handing me my keys....I left and called the general manager, George, which who I really wanted to talk to was THE ACTUAL GENERAL MANAGER OF THE ENTIRE CHAIN OF STEVENSON AUTOMOTIVE (John Stevenson) but instead I was given the new sales manager and when I asked him about the sales flyer he said "Oh, you're the guy who was just in here about the TC that was rude to my sales team?" Then when I told him that the sales flyer was fake advertising and they should change it he told me "did the flyer say that if you got a new car, you would be where you are now monthly on your current vehicle?" I said no and he then said "well that's your problem!" I said "no, the problem is your sales flyer; it clearly states "pay a $79 car release and we'll pay off your negative equity of up to $9000 so you can get out of a bad, expensive payment and into something new with a fresh start!" He then told me I was wrong, pretty much insinuating that I'm a liar, so I hung up. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!! IN FACT, STAY AWAY FROM ALL OF STEVENSON AUTOMOTIVE GROUP ALL TOGETHER! More
