It started with a leak. Something was dripping on the driveway. I had someone look at it to see what it was and they said the valve cover gasket was leaking and should be re Something was dripping on the driveway. When they went in thinking they would replace it, they found this glue/silicone substance on the coils where clips should be and said they couldn't work on my car. The only place that has ever changed my spark plugs before was Stevens Creek Toyota, which is where I also bought the car. When I went to them and showed them pictures, at first they denied it, and said they'd need to talk with the techs. One of the Service Advisors told me their techs would NEVER do this and said, "how do we know someone else didn't do this? The last time we worked on it was a year and a half ago." I felt like he was accusing me of lying about it. It turns out they spoke with the tech who worked on my car and he said he didn't remember specifically, but they've seen this done before and if it was like that they would have put it back the way it was or they could have done it to make sure it held securely. Once that was shared, they finally agreed to fix the clips that were glued down and the service advisor apologized. I had to take it in for inspection, which found 4 out of 6 clips were glued. It took a week for parts to come in and then I was scheduled a week out from that. So it's been three weeks driving around with a leaking gasket. They agreed to replace the clips for free and give me a loaner car. I asked if they could fix the gasket and spark plugs for me as a courtesy. The manager never called me back and ignored my emails. My service advisor said there was no way they would do it for free and offered a discount. Their hourly service rate is $290 and he offered $40 off that. Not even half! The total for them to fix the gaskets and seals would be over $1400 and they didn't even give me an itemized quote! When I requested it, they sent and they claim it would take 5 hours to do the work when I was told by the previous mechanic (who couldn't work on it because of THEIR xx work) that it would take about 2 hours. I've been driving for weeks now, commuting from Tracy to San Jose with a small child. No other dealership or mechanic would even touch that part of my car, but they don't seem to care. I've copied Service Manager and the General Manager on every single email. Neither has ever responded, even when I wrote to them directly. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a service oriented business. They are the reason dealership service departments have such a bad reputation. I just want to drive a safe and dependable car. They're trying to break the bank. More

The service department at Stevens Creek is absolutely wonderful. They recently repaired my Corolla Cross, which had an issue due to faulty service at a different dealership. I cannot thank them enough for all they did to make a difficult situation better. I drove straight to Stevens Creek Toyota. they asked if I had an appointment I said no it was an emergency, the person that greeted me said there’s nothing they can do for me. I will never go back or do business with them again , I drove to Sunnyvale Toyota and they helped me right away , their technicians found the leak and worked with my Insurance company because I wasn’t at fault for the accident, Sunnyvale Toyota turned a horrible experience into something positive. I have encountered a couple of employees who seem to give me attitude. One in particular likes to wear a vest and be a real smarta**. Acts like he runs the location but not sure of his actual title. Thinks he is a real tough guy because he gets to tell paying customers to move up in line, and then has a smarta** remark to add. Not acceptable. There are other Toyota dealerships and I suggest going to one other than Stevens Creek Toyota. Happy to elaborate more with the dealership. Would welcome the opportunity to tell them what I think of one of their employees. It would be a pleasure to see him. Bill More

I have been a client of Stevens Creek for about 20 years. I have always been pleased, except when they tried to fix a car window( 3 times for 300$ each time) and it never got fixed right. We finally took it to a specialist who worked for Toyota for 25 years and who is a car buff and restores cars. he was able to fix it for ll00$. Now I have another problem with the same car. it is a cherry l997 Celica Toyota Special Edition convertible. There were only 5000 made and only about l200 are still on the road. The car made a funny noise when I was driving out of the garage. I was distressed so I called Stevens Creek Toyota. I happened to have had Edgar Oliver's phone number. There was no response and I remembered that he said e mail would be better. So I did. I got a call about 20 minutes later. he was on his day off! .. and he called. Talk about a sweetheart of a guy! He was incredible. he heard in my voice about how distressed I was and told me to bring it in. I wasn't able to do it that day because AAA could not provide a tow before they closed. I took it in today on a flatbed! Edgar was there to hold my hand all the way thru. He was amazing, wonderful and fabulous. I did not really have an appt. but I waited til there was a lull in the traffic and he sat me down and explained that a diagnostic would be good. The problem was that the engine would not shut off once I pulled the key. he said it could be a few things.. dieseling and I know what that was, but I explained to him what I thought it was and he confirmed that ws the correct interpretation. He also told me that I need a new timing belt!! oh boy, maybe 2000$, but it is better than having the engine seize up! He was so sweet and kind and caring. We talked for a few minutes about cars and discovered we both liked the new Genesis. I told him to do the diagnostic for the price he quoted and also do a service, since the car was there and had had no service since 2020. Loved the interaction. he is so wonderful.. he told me not to worry; he would take care of things. This car actually belonged to my husband who bought it there in l997 and he does not drive anymore, so I got it.. When I mentioned that i was concerned that I would not be able to pick it up because he doesn't drive anymore, he told me he would arrange to get me over there somehow to pick up the car. He asked me to schedule another appointment. I told him, "It is a gas tank problem and safety of my family that I need to fix right away." William walked away and said,"I dont have time for that. " He told the advisor to get someone to deal with it. I was ver upset. How can a manager say that to the customer and ignore the safety of the customer? He ignored the safety of my family. He should get fire or not be a manager at all. I am very disappointed at he service of Steven Creek Toyota. More

I asked about using my 3rd party car service/repair warranty which is when “the complicated adventures “ began. Chris, my service advisor (669 288 9887), went above and beyond in assisting me. He was a great listener and able to understand what was needed for authorization, was flexible with the frequent changes, and when authorization was not granted, found a way to offer a discount option I qualified for. He returned calls promptly and was always kind and considerate during interactions. This was an example of outstanding customer service. More

Stevens Creek Toyota is a ripoff. They charge me 3x230 for diagnostics and they did not fix a single thing! We ask them to fix 1-window not going up and down or 2-sunroom switch not functioning and 3-Navigation touch screen glass replacement. So I was surprised with $780.00+ bill and about $690.00 is diagnostics only. Is this fair? They never got proper authorization while they claim that your wife has approved it. be careful with next time you take your car to them. I am very upset and not happy with their manipulation style. He declined to adjust the money and further did not hesitate a bit to lie on their commitment, When asked for his Manager, a Jason came on the call and LIED in my face that the store's policy was not to adjust the diagnostics charges in overall service cost. VERY Unethical business and Don't mind Lying to your face!!!! More
