The people who work here have a great service ethic. I walked into the parts department and asked for the sales person I'd come to see and was personally escorted to his office. There was no pressure, no walked into the parts department and asked for the sales person I'd come to see and was personally escorted to his office. There was no pressure, no double talk, no fancy number crnching, and no hidden charges. It was just the stated price, minus the value of my trade-in and the deal was done. All the paperwork for transfer of all the documents and tag was done for me. The sales manager even rounded the final price down to the nearest $100 to make it more convenient for me, and then the salesman personally took me in the vehicle I'd purchased to a filling station and bought me 3/4 tank of fuel for my trip home. If you're looking for courteous treatment, a fair price, a quality vehicle, and extra special customer service, shop at Steve White Motors. Thanks much Rick! More

Well let me tell you of my experience today 8/30/11. We have a Jeep Liberty 2005 Diesel. It started locking up the brakes. No reason, you could come out and crack the car and go to give it gas and the brak have a Jeep Liberty 2005 Diesel. It started locking up the brakes. No reason, you could come out and crack the car and go to give it gas and the brakes would not release or you would be driving down the road and the brakes would grab and stop you and make the brake pedal impossible to push. My husband, who is a Master SGT in the US Army in a maintainance company for 20 years and has worked on every piece of equipment known to man, change the calipers and turned the rotters, because this was the problem with "my" jeep 2003 model. This worked for a day and then again the brakes locked up during a drive. We called on a Saturday and made an appointment for the following Tuesday, my husband was OOT so he made sure I would have a loaner car and was promised one on the phone. I arrived as scheduled on Tuesday morning. No loaner car, a lot of excuses, but no car. They wanted to drive me home and leave me there without a car, this would not work I have a child in school I have to pick up and sports practices etc. They wanted to reschedule, this would not work Tuesday was my day to do things and no other days free. So I agreed to sit while they took the care back and checked it "quickly". I was asked to "Take a ride so they could "feel" what it was doing." I explained there was no "feeling" this it would either lock the brakes or not, but now the brakes were fine. I waited a few minutes longer and was called to the service department where the service manager "REFUSED" to check my car. He stated that this job would take longer than 15 minutes, would cost 1000's or dollars to fix and he was "certain oil was put in the master cyclinar because the fluid there felt oily". This was basically saying my army maintainance MSGT did not know the difference from oil and brake fluid, glad he sis not make this mistake in Iraq! Then the lady in the department said I was rude because I was upset I did not have a laoner car and they applogized and I sould have been OK with that, "NO" I expect people to do what they promise. They told me I could take it to Lake Norman. I asked, "So when I am driving home and the brakes lock up and I am hit, injuried or killed you are liable." The manager said, "No, there is more to this story and I say there has been oil put into the system and that is what I am sticking with." The lady said, "It will be your husbands fault for his shotty work." Now don't that sound like a place you want working on your car!!! More
Mr. Bradshaw was very helpful and fulfilled all my needs in purchasing my vehicle to finding me an approval in able to purchase my vehicle. There wasn't a time where I would call the dealer (especially sin in purchasing my vehicle to finding me an approval in able to purchase my vehicle. There wasn't a time where I would call the dealer (especially since I was calling from Ohio) and Dean wasn't there with his pleasant attitude. I have never met Dean but he made me feel like we were the best of friends. I would definetly recommend this dealer to someone who's purchasing a vehicle and I would definitely send them to my buddy, "Dean." More
I am a second time buyer at Steve Whites in Hickory/Newton. My first car was a great Grand Am Gt purchased in 07. This was a great experience so I went back again and purchased a Jeep. Although Hickory/Newton. My first car was a great Grand Am Gt purchased in 07. This was a great experience so I went back again and purchased a Jeep. Although I wasn't sure of what I wanted (car vs suv) the sales rep--Dean Bradshaw and the sales manager Anton, were very patient. In no way was there any pressure to "buy this" or pushing of any kind. Dean pointed out that it is always a good idea to think of what the car value will be when it is time to trade again and not rush into anything that is too expensive or not comfortable. And a great sense of humor. I have in the past and will in the future suggest potential buyers to be sure and speak to Dean or Anton before buying anywhere else. Pricewise---prices are extremely competitive and fair (based on local dealers and even further). This is why they actually have buyers coming literally hundreds of miles to purchase from them---in and out with no issues (unless you haven't decided what to get for sure). I will suggest printing out any vehicles you want to look at before going there---there is too large of a selection to go without having an idea--- More
Found this dealership on line thru Ebay. I would recommend them. I have already recommended them to a neighbor. Over all it was the best experience I've had buying a truck. Took Jeep(that I purchased new from Steve White) in for oil change and tire rotation. Marked my tires just to make sure rotation was being done. They didn't rotate the tires and charged me for it. I bought what I was assured was a quality used truck but turned into a lemon. As I was driving it on vacation I ran into major engine problems. I had owned the truck less than 30 days and had put less than turned into a lemon. As I was driving it on vacation I ran into major engine problems. I had owned the truck less than 30 days and had put less than 100 miles on it. Being stuck in the middle of nowhere I called Steve White Motors for help and was told too bad,it's now your problem. After getting back home I again tried to contact them but no one will take my calls at the dealership. I now have it at another dealer and am faced with repairs in excess of $6000.00 for a problem that was present at the time of the sale according to the dealer. To make matters worse I still have not received the NC license tag from Steve White Motors that I paid for when I bought this lemon. Do not trust these people , they will screw you. They smile in your face and stab you in the back. Anyone that don't believe me can contact me as I have the document's to prove every word. I plan to take these crooks to court but who knows. Unless you want misery STAY AWAY FROM STEVE WHITE MOTORS !!! More
