From the moment we walked through the doors we were immediately assisted. Stephanie was absolutely amazing from probing to find out what vehicle best suited us from price to seat choice. Within 4 days of buying a 2018 BMW 530 at Sterling McCall, the coolant in the vehicle leaked on the ground. The salesman told us ‘they would take care of everything.’ After this point, there was no c McCall, the coolant in the vehicle leaked on the ground. Sterling took car to BMW---who confirmed that the coolant system needed replaced as well battery, motor mounts, and tire sensors replaced. The Sterling salesman informed me that ‘Everything that BMW identified on the estimate was being taken care of. Not just the coolant’. On 8/12 I was told the air conditioning was not working and that ‘they were taking vehicle back to BMW to recharge air conditioning’. I was told through a very curt, rude text that the vehicle was ready and they ‘did me a favor and provided me with a full tank of gas’. Per the invoice, Sterling only performed half the work listed. The sales manager stated he does not have to honor anything his salesmen tells customers. The manager stated they would not be doing the rest of the work regardless of what we were told multiple times by the staff there. I was told at the end that they would do us a ‘courtesy’ and pay for half of the remaining work whenever it was convenient for my schedule if I choose. During the next repair interaction and over a week on no communication from Sterling, we found the air conditioning was not working. When speaking to the BMW service director, I found that Sterling lied about what occurred with the air conditioning initially—they performed the AC recharge at Sterling and there is no documentation on what type of AC recharge was performed. Regardless, AC repair cost was ~ $5000. I spoke with the Sterling sales manager as this was certainly a preexisting condition AND Sterling lied about how they initially serviced the air conditioner. The vehicle was listed as having air conditioning on their website when it was for sale and, in fact, that is not the truth. The Sterling sales manager stated that he absolutely refused to fix this at all. He literally stated they sale cars all the time without air conditioning and as it is not a safety issue, they are not liable to fix it. Almost 2 months later, I am working with BMW to fix the vehicle I was sold with major issues that Sterling McCall has continually misrepresented themselves on. In 2 months time, I have driven my vehicle 5 days. It has been in the BMW Service Center the entire time. The absolute lack of communication and responsibility for customer service, not honoring what the customer was told by their salesman, and for the vehicles they sale is irrefutable and I would never recommend that anyone do business with Sterling McCall. Texas laws state that vehicles with less than 70,000 miles have a 30-day warranty, and this is obviously not honored at Sterling McCall GMC Buick.
