I keep calling and I keep getting different stories first they sent out a check and they voided that check and sent another and oh they haven’t sent it or they just sent it. Sterling McCall GMCFirst let me preface to say, I am Sterling McCall GMC First let me preface to say, I am that guy who typical won’t raise cane, if the service isn’t first rate. I am quite adama Sterling McCall GMC First let me preface to say, I am that guy who typical won’t raise cane, if the service isn’t first rate. I am quite adamant in regards to tipping at the least, 20% minimum even if services in a restaurant isn’t good. I understand people have to make a living and I respect that. Now Sterling McCall GMC, southwest freeway Houston. I receiving an email from Sterling McCall, about my 30,000 miles schedule maintenance service, I initiated the service appointment using the application link provided from the GMC dealers website. The system ask a few questions, but pretty much identifies my vehicle because of two previous scheduled services done with Sterling McCall GMC. During scheduling of the service through the site, the services involved in the scheduled maintenance are listed as to what services will be performed in detail. The schedule service cost was $689.00, which by looking at the list seemed fine. One of the services that stuck out to me was the replacement of my fuel filter, clearly stated on the list. Appointment was set and confirm through the site, for the next morning 9/8/21. Arrived 9/9/21 at 7:30am, and after checking in with the service advisor, I grabbed a cup of coffee. Started watching the news when another gentleman approached me. He has my work order in his hand, and begins to tell me what according to him, the previous advisor, neglected to tell me. The repair to the fuel filter was an additional $199.00, which now increases the total bill to $930.00 including tax. To prove it, he produces a pamphlet the shows the list of services for 30,000 miles service. The fuel filter is not listed but on a price list under additional services, is the fuel filter replacement cost of $199.00. Initially I thought, maybe I read it wrong on the electronic platform and I said, ok. After he walk away I thought maybe I should revisit the “Sterling McCall GMC maintenance scheduling site”, to verify if I read it wrong and voila!, there it is, clear as day. So I screen shot the pages detailing the electronic scheduling, (which is how my truck and I are identified at checkin.) I go to the second advisor to relay this great information. He looks at me and flat out says, what you are looking at, is wrong. He didn’t even attempt to review what I was presenting to him. A little taken back, I said, so this system of maintenance scheduling, list of services, and prices for services on your electronic platform is wrong. He said “yep” that is wrong, this is the cost for fuel filter replacement, $199.00. I ask to speak to the service advisor manager and he says “I am the service advisor manager.” I then ask where is the owner and he says there is no owner, and it is my final decision. I say this looks like a bait and switch. I was brought to your establishment through email contact. The prices quoted through your system is now invalid with no indication, other than a pamphlet you are handing me. No information on your platform to alert or prepare your customer of the change. “Mr Service Manager”, (to protect his identity), says if you don’t like it and you feel I am dishonest, I don’t want to do business with you, and I don’t want your truck here. Shocked, “I said, I came here get my maintenance at a certified GMC Dealership. I need my 30,000 services performed. Again he says, I will turn your car around and give you your keys, and you can take your truck somewhere else. This is what is being charged take it, or leave it. There is no exaggeration of the interaction that unfolded! I needed my truck serviced, and with that comment, I left it at that. With the evidence of this interaction, both electronic and printed to be explored by others within the GMC system. Sure $199.00 isn’t that big of a deal, but how this unfolded, is evidently how this culture is perpetuated there and should be addressed. I walked out, remove myself from what could have been a heated exchange. Went and sat down in the waiting room, and waited for my trucks scheduled maintenance service to be completed. I still can’t wrap my head around what occurred. Thank goodness I have resolved never to find myself near that place ever again, well maybe for some coffee, should I be accidentally stranded. More
Worst dealership to deal with. Almost purchased a truck but they wanted to give me less than half of my trade in value. Walked out... will never do business with them. but they wanted to give me less than half of my trade in value. Walked out... will never do business with them. More
If you would like to get ripped off this is the place for you! Started my deal with a purchase price of $56,455 with no purchase allowance of $2500 as said online subtracted, then $695 for resistall plus $14 you! Started my deal with a purchase price of $56,455 with no purchase allowance of $2500 as said online subtracted, then $695 for resistall plus $1495 for pro package then $2995 for lifetime clear bra ($5185 for useless dealer add ons) for a total $61649 for a truck that has a MSRP of $56,455 that should have been discounted to $53995 oh it get way worse if that wasn’t a complete rip off to begin with. My 2016 corvette that has a rough trade in value of $43500 and a average trade in value of 45400 they offered me $37500 so at bare minimum lowballed me $6000!!! invoice pricing to purchase price is another approximate $10,000, so now we are at $16,000 but wait there is more let’s not forget about dealer hold back of approximately $1600 so $20,100 dealer profit is the best this dealership could do! After wasting 4 1/2 hours of my time. The manger told me that he wished me the best of luck. Probably thinking he could call me back, nope number was immediately blocked. What a complete rip off! Stay Away! Stay far far away! I have never in my life felt so insulted and disrespected. I know a thing or two about buying vehicles, just think what would happen if they knew you knew nothing and you trusted these crooks! More

I bought a vehicle from this dealership back in March on a Saturday 2 days later I took it back to their service department because the vehicle was said to have a 172 point check pre certified vehicle howev a Saturday 2 days later I took it back to their service department because the vehicle was said to have a 172 point check pre certified vehicle however it had issues with the starter and the transmission. So I took the vehicle back to the dealership on following Monday I spoke to the GM on Wednesday he then told me he would be gone on Friday I figured he would be out one day but apparently it was a whole week. During that time I spoke with the service manager the sales manager the sales clerk everyone giving us a run around saying that there was nothing wrong with the transmission . It got to the point where no one was returning our calls . We then figured out other routes to get in contact with someone. They would promise to call us back and would not call us back. I started asking them who was there GM's boss no one would want to give us answers or what was the telephone number to the GM's supervisor ,everyone said they did not know. I had to call another Sterling McCall dealership who gave me their HR department who she gave me the name of the owner of Sterling McCall ,who is over the GM there at the Buick GMC location. After speaking with him ironically I got a return call from the GM about 20 minutes later. He wasn't apologetic his main concern is that he had advise me that he was going to be out of town on vacation while on speakerphone he says "didn't I tell you I was going to be on vacation for a week" .I'm sure he had other people in there with him that just angered me even more because here I am just bought a vehicle and gave a half of the amount of what the car was worth as down payment and you're concern is that you were on vacation. Still not admitting that the truck had transmission issues they continue to refuse to admit that the transmission was going out. Even though when you shift backwards it kicked in gear. Finally my husband insisted for them to look into it again and I get a call from the service manager saying oh by the way you're right there is transmission issues going on with this vehicle let us know what to do and this is two weeks later at that moment we just decided because of how rude the GM was the inappropriateness and unprofessional manner we just wanted our money back... But just to tell you how unprofessional the GM manager was when I arrivedbto pick up my check of my down payment. The GMb didn't even have enough guts to come out and hand me the check he actually sent someone else out to tell me that he stepped away from his desk. As I heard him tell the salesperson to say that to me... Even though I just had spoken to him 10 minutes prior letting him know I was on my way. And never once did he apologized and say sorry for the inconvenience but get this when we get ready to leave out the door the salesperson who handed me my check actually asked if he could do business and provide us with a different ruck ....Are you kidding me?? Really?? And two days later after receiving my check I see the truck back on their system for sale transmission has not been fixed. SMH These guys are buzzards to say the least yes buzzards!!!! they don't care about you take your money and spend it somewhere else... And these weird automatic responses that they're giving for each one of the.reviews is insulting because honestly they don't mean a word that they're saying. I think the GM should be the example for their employees in business sense the apples does not fall far from the tree their sales managers service managers all work the same way he doesn't care he's arrogant so take your money to someone else . Defiantly do not recommend the service department. They could care less about Customer Service. Had a very bad experience with John Ramiez, Ramon and the service manager Alvin. When I asked Alvin who h could care less about Customer Service. Had a very bad experience with John Ramiez, Ramon and the service manager Alvin. When I asked Alvin who his boss was, he told me I didn't need to talk to him because he would only direct me back to him. Then he claimed he didn't know his number. How do you not know your bosses contact number. I purchased my car 2 years ago from this dealership and had no issues with the sales department. More
Absolutely horrid dealership. They sold me a brand new car which had all sorts of problems. Granted, the dealership did not make the car, but it’s the service after the sale where one’s true colors show. car which had all sorts of problems. Granted, the dealership did not make the car, but it’s the service after the sale where one’s true colors show. Not only did the GM Casey make a bunch of empty and misleading promises but now 1 year later after ANOTHER problem arises, they turn their backs. Keeping it classy Sterling McCall! More
Sterling McCall Buick & GMC is the prime example of why customers are moving to online platforms to purchase vehicles. Although they claim to have a very simple and straightforward website to make the purc customers are moving to online platforms to purchase vehicles. Although they claim to have a very simple and straightforward website to make the purchase process more manageable, please don't believe it. You will still have to deal with the manager in the back, pretending to struggle to get to a price, even if you already have the vehicle price provided by the same store. Sterling McCall will add some random costs as part of a “package” that their website is not taking into account. I submitted all information online, set a time for easy pickup the next day. Luckily I called the next day to move my appointment and come to find out, the sales team had not done anything with my information. I was able to move my appointment for what I thought was going to be an easy pick and I started getting different prices from what I was presented online. When I asked what was the difference I couldn’t get an answer and was told to call the corporate office. I called back to dealership and finally got a sales person to tell me that the price on the website was correct and that we had a deal if I could drive to the dealership to execute. I asked the sales person if we had a deal as presented online and she said yes, and asked her to not waste any time given that I was taking an Uber to the deal ship and it was already late. She said to come down. Halfway to the dealership I get a call from the sales person. Her manger “tried” calling me to tell me that the deal had changed (fourth time in one day). So at this point I’m out $40.00 for a round trip Uber 2 hours away from my small kids and a hard hit on my credit. Thank You. Great service. Do not go! They are not honest. More
