We were on vacation and decided to stop and LOOK at a vehicle on the lot. After meeting Macy, our sales rep, it was made clear that she would help us get the car we wanted! The entire staff made it our smoothest, easiest car buying process we’ve ever had. I highly recommend others to get in contact with Macy if you’re looking to buy a vehicle. She has your best interest at heart! The finance team seemed very respectful and transparent. This brought tons of comfort to us, too. More

We made the choice to purchase and set up a time on Wednesday to finish the process. We were greeted immediately at arrival and only had to wait a few minutes and then they were ready to start signing paperwork. Again, everything was explained to us in clear and easy to understand terms. After the paperwork was finished Chauntelle spent over an hour with my husband going over all the functions and setting up all the programs. Best vehicle purchase experience we have ever had. More

I met Karen a week ago when I called into the dealership and needed help with finding the right vehicle for my situation. From the initial call until the deal was done, my wife and I were very impressed wit and needed help with finding the right vehicle for my situation. From the initial call until the deal was done, my wife and I were very impressed with how she made us feel important. The same was not the case with Greg Orr Porsche of Destin. We were not born in this country and feel like we inconvenienced Porsche by purchasing their overpriced Macan. Now we feel great trading that in for an Escalade, especially after Porsche said they couldn’t make a deal happen with anything on their lot. It’s a night and day difference with the experience at both of these high end dealerships. One says we weren’t credit worthy. But Cadillac makes it happen. One says we are too upside down in a bad deal they helped create, but Cadillac made it better now. One says you signed a 5,000 mile per lease, too bad.....but Cadillac ownership already makes it better. It makes sense now with the brown lives matter issues being brought to light. My wife is considered a minority but at Porsche we felt it and were often reminded of our place. At Cadillac, we felt like we mattered even with a “brown” wife. Shame on Greg Orr. Never again will we subject ourselves to that, including our lease turn in “disappearing” for over a month because Orr Porsche didn’t turn it in properly and that affected my credit report as well as my next deal from happening with Porsche. The minute I spoke to Karen, Jared, and then Kim to wrap it up, we leave with something much better than anything Porsche could have put on the table anyway. Suddenly we were credit worthy, wife has vehicle of her dreams, and we aren’t told that car is too expensive for you or out of your range. Thank you to Cadillac for royal treatment, which they have obviously perfected. Step One in particular has been a phenomenal brand to purchase a vehicle from and the after purchase experience is ever better. Thank you for making my brown wife’s life matter and not telling her that’s out of our price range. As it turns out for Rick Hart, Kevin Campbell and Greg Orr, shame on you and don’t size up your clientele in your stereotypical judgement meter. It will always be wrong. More importantly, the Cadillac ride, performance, comfort, value, exclusivity, and and overall expectations were far exceeded. Great job GMC / Cadillac of Fort Walton Beach and Step One Automotive Group. As for “German Engineering”, never again. Thank you steering me away after 1 1/2 years of the worst automotive experience in 50 years of life. Onward. Great job Karen and team. Also thanks to Jason who is also a sales consultant here at Cadillac and we appreciated him sharing his love and patronage of our brand. We own 4 Smashburger locations in Florida. For anyone contemplating an auto purchase, give Karen and the team a try. More

You will also not find this review on their website due to they delete bad reviews. It did start decently with the dealership having a very nice looking 2017 GMC Sierra Truck with 62,000 miles. The price online was very reasonable which is what brought me in. During negotiating the price, I received a low-ball trade in value for my 2011 Tahoe loaded LTZ with 190K miles. It was however made up for by lowering the price of the 2017 GMC Sierra, however I originally balked at their $900 paperwork fee. As with most of their excuses it is state law and everyone must pay it. I made the deal with the exception that the dash control center must be changed from Spanish to English. This was made clear in an IOU signed with deal. Deal was not completed until 11:30 P.M. and I was to return the next day for a language update. I was told they could do it in parking lot. Pulled into service the next day to find no one knew what I was talking about and that they would have to replace the after-market radio that was in the truck with the factory radio. The factory radio was found in the back seat so it seemed like an easy trade out. After several hours of waiting I was told that it would not be done today and they would give me a loaner vehicle. I told them I had to leave the next day because my vacation time was up but could possibly stay another day if they would be able to fix the truck. Paid for another day at camp site. Called the next day to check status with no real news on status. Drove back to Fort Walton Beach from Gulf Shores (1:30 drive) to find that install house they were using could not install radio on that day. Truck was then taken to another install house to have them try the installation. I had to call at 5:00 that day to find that this installer could not install radio or change language either. Drove back up to Fort Walton Beach the next morning due to I could not stay another day and was given an IOU with promise they would ship me a new radio that I could have installed back at my home area in Kentucky. Picked truck up and hooked up camper from campsite and headed up to I65 with family now. After 30 minutes of driving on I65 truck starting shutting down saying that transmission was overheating. Inched my way to Alabama/Tennessee border only to have truck completely stall out in parking lot hill in the middle of no-where. Called Sales Manager who said if I could make it to a hotel he would see what he could do in the morning. Let truck cool down and found hotel 20 miles up the road. Called in the morning and he said he could not do anything because it was a Sunday (did not even have key to building which I don’t believe) but would do everything in his power on Monday. Drove another 40 miles before having to drop camper off at truck stop because truck was overheating. Even with camper removed truck continued to overheat with multiple stops until we could make it to Nashville. Rented a truck in Nashville and drove my family home to Kentucky. Went back and picked up camper and hauled to Nashville through mountains with no trouble with rental truck which was a 2020 Silverado. Slept 6 hours in Nashville hotel and called sales manager in the morning. The manager that said he would do everything in his power to help me on Monday did not have any answers of what to do with truck. I told him I had only owned truck for 4 days and wanted to return it due to dash in Spanish and overheating transmission. He would not meet me in Montgomery and insisted I must drive the overheating truck back to Fort Walton Beach. He hung up on me for no apparent reason. I took back rental truck and picked up limping truck driving 6:30 hours back to Fort Walton beach, stopping twice due to truck overheating, and this is babying the speed and only 1 passenger weight. Called sales manager on way to dealership and he was rude and complained I would be there at 6:10 and they closed at 7. Showed up and they said they would not return but I could trade for loss. Also would not negotiate price of used 2018 Silverado along with another $900 paper fee. At one point sales manager told me I would have to drive xxx truck back to Kentucky. I reluctantly made the deal. Terrible customer service, do not stand by there products, treat employees bad, and try to threaten you if they know you are in a bad situation. Absolutely worst dealership I have ever done business with. More
