I purchased this car sight unseen and had it shipped to Tennessee. I talked with Kevin Hampton many times over the phone and was told numerous times that the car had no isuues both cosmetically and mechani Tennessee. I was reluctant to purchase sight unseen and asked the same questions several times and received the same answers that the only problem with the car was a few small rock chips in the front. Kevin even became agitated with me accusing me of questioning his honesty.He repeated to me several times that the car looks better in person than in the photos. When I received the car I quickly found it had a charging system problem,an inop boost gauge, and melted areas around both exhaust ports on the rear bumper.Even though Kevin told me he had personally gone over and driven the car he claimed he did not know of the boost gauge and bumper cover issues.Kevin did pay for repairing the charging problem and replaced the boost gauge. A couple of weeks after this repair the check engine light came on and Ford says it will cost approx. $1,000. to replace the PCM, I can't say this is something he would have known about. Most of the time the car sits in the garage,I purchased for car shows,and recently as I was waxing the car, I found several runs in the paint on the front bumper which I will have to have painted. For the price I paid I should not have had these issues.Don't buy sight unseen without having an independant inspection. More
I bought this vehicle last month from Starwood motors. I am very disappointed with the entire experience dealing with the person who sold us this vehicle. There were several things which were not informed am very disappointed with the entire experience dealing with the person who sold us this vehicle. There were several things which were not informed or mis-informed us when buying the vehicle such as "no spare tire", "mis-informed about battery replacement". The person we dealt with had a very bad attitude and has never returned my phone calls and as well as emails. If i remember correctly, i have sent him atleast 10-15 emails and he never responded to any of my emails and has never returned any of my calls either. I would never recommend any of my friends to this dealership as it looked like they do not care for their customers at all. Infact i already told couple of my friends who were looking to buy Cars/SUVs not to go to this dealership. I know that this feedback will not make any difference to them because i have seen their attitude towards their customer and i feel that this will be ignored as well. I am writing this because i am assuming someone who is supposed to see will see and atleast take necessary steps towards change. I am going to post my feedback in other related sites as well if i don't get any response from the dealership. More
As a former Army aviator, I drove sports cars to maintain the image in my younger days, but got away from them when the kids went off to college. Now that I am in my waning years, I got the urge again and ha the image in my younger days, but got away from them when the kids went off to college. Now that I am in my waning years, I got the urge again and have been looking for something special for the past two years without any success. By chance, I happened onto the Starwood Motors website and found a 2002 MB 500SL Silver Arrow with only 40,000 miles. I was reluctant at first, but kept looking at the pictures on the internet and finally called. I spoke with Scott Wilde who immediately gained my confidence. He described the car as being in exceptionally good shape with only one minor flaw which was curb rash on one wheel. After talking with Scott, I called an old flying buddy in Texas and found he had a brother-in-law who lived near Starwood Motors. After visiting the dealership, his message to me was "buy it." Needless to say, I was still apprehensive about purchasing a car 1500 miles away without seeing it, but Scott Wilde's manner gained my trust, so I asked him to put it on a truck. When it arrived, I was astounded by how good it looks. Scott had someone fix the minor blemish on the wheel before he shipped it, so it looked like a crown jewel coming off the truck. After driving it a few days, I took it to another friend who is the service manager at my local Mercedes dealer here in Northern Virginia and asked him to check it over from bumper to bumper. His report was that it is an exceptionally good car that I can drive for years. I cannot believe how easy this transaction was. Scott Wilde took care of every detail, so all I had to do was send the check. I wanted to share my experience with others who might be looking for a special car. I would rate Starwood Motors and Scott Wilde at the top of many dealers that I have talked with over the past couple of years. More

From day one I contact Starwood sales and I was amazed with professionalism, courtesy and a true filling that I am the most important person that day. It is not easy to buy a car from so far away with worries of future service, part replacement etc. Steven made it all go away with warm welcome, promise of hassle free shopping, total commitment including airport pick up, help with hotel reservations hotel transport, unlimited time commitment needed for me to made my final decision that is just naming only the few.Now it has been few weeks since I have purchase the car, i have already called several times with other questions and conserns and I still get the same service commitment I have had before the sale. I went to this dealer because it was a high end dealer and i figured that i would get a good car. The car i bought wasn't a high end vehicle and i let them know that i would be getting another one soon i and i figured that i would get a good car. The car i bought wasn't a high end vehicle and i let them know that i would be getting another one soon if they treated me good. Come to find out the car was i two wrecks which both the finance manager and saleman lied to me about,which makes the car worthless as a trade.I tried to get Sonny and the saleman to work with me but they avoided me and just left me in the lobby and never came back. I expected better from these people,but didn't get treated fair and no one deserves to get treated wrong and lied to no matter how much money they spend. More
