The Starling family has proudly served Central Florida’s automotive needs since 1948. Before becoming the Chevrolet dealer in Kissimmee, Carroll Starling worked with Commercial Credit in Orlando, helping local dealers and retail customers secure vehicle financing. In addition to leading the Chevrolet dealership, Carroll served over 12 years as a Kissimmee City Commissioner and played a role in the early development of Walt Disney World, helping to shape the transformation of Central Florida.
His son, Alan Starling, took over in 1975 at just 26 years old after returning from military service. As Central Florida's population rapidly grew through the 70s and 80s, so did the Starling automotive business. Alan followed in his father’s footsteps with deep community involvement—serving on the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (twice appointed by the Governor) and leading the Economic Development Council. His leadership extended nationally when he was elected Chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) in 2003.
Today, the third generation of the Starling family—Jack, Walker, and Andrew—continue the legacy across Central Florida. They each operate and lead Starling Chevrolet Cadillac in DeLand, Starling Chevrolet in Orlando, and Starling Chevrolet GMC in St. Cloud, ensuring the family tradition of excellence continues for generations to come.

Amazing Customer Service! My son was in the process of purchasing a vehicle. We researched the dealership and opted to work with Yessenia and we were not disappointed! Although, it was towards the later part of the evening, Yessenia took her time to explain the process, show us the vehicle and present various deals for us to choose. The process was completely hassle free and no pressure from anyone at the dealership to buy the car. Yessenia made sure we understood our option and made several recommendations that were to our benefit. Once with the Finance Manager Ruben Torres, the process was seamless and very quick! I recently purchased a truck from Starling Chevrolet and had the pleasure of working with Geramel. This was by far the easiest car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Most dealerships take over three hours fro had the pleasure of working with Geramel. This was by far the easiest car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Most dealerships take over three hours from the time you walk in to when you finally leave, but Geramel made the entire process smooth and quick. He stayed in contact with me over the phone before I came in, walked me through a few options, and had several trucks ready that matched what I was looking for. When I arrived, he had the perfect one waiting. He was very knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and was completely honest throughout the process. If you’re heading to Starling Chevrolet, I highly recommend asking for Geramel. I’m truly grateful for how easy he made the experience, and I couldn’t be happier with my new truck. More
