The Starling family has been in the retail automotive industry in Central Florida since 1948. Prior to becoming the Chevrolet dealer in Kissimmee, FL, Carroll Starling worked for Commercial Credit in Orlando, FL financing cars for local dealers and their retail customers. In addition to his duties as the Chevrolet dealer in Kissimmee FL, Carroll also served as a City Commissioner in Kissimmee for over 12 years and was involved in the early years of the Walt Disney World project that transformed Central Florida and the state of Florida.
His son Alan, became the dealer in 1975 at the age of 26 after returning from military service. Both the businesses and the surrounding communities grew exponentially throughout the 70’s and 80’s, with the population of Central Florida surpassing one million residents. Alan continued in his fathers footsteps of community involvement and was appointed by the Governor of Florida to sit on the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority on two different occasions, and also headed the Economic Development Council in the years prior to his role as the Florida Director for the National Automobile Dealers Association, which culminated in his election as the Chairman of NADA in 2003.
Three of Alan’s sons, Jack, Walker, and Andrew represent the third generation of Starling dealers in Central Florida and each work in and run Starling Chevrolet Cadillac in DeLand, Starling Chevrolet in Orlando, and Starling Chevrolet Buick GMC in St Cloud, FL.

The truck I purchased had orange mud caked up inside the engine compartment and the undercarriage, a lot of it. The heater does not work, this could be an expensive fix. The director would not budge on the price but happily sold a truck with issues as though it was top notch. Word of mouth is not their side. More

Darnell went above and beyond to help me get the car that I truly wanted. I was very set on a monthly payment, and he was able to accommodate my wants and needs and get me the car I’ve always wanted. ev that I truly wanted. I was very set on a monthly payment, and he was able to accommodate my wants and needs and get me the car I’ve always wanted. even on a Friday night when he was taking his kids to gymnastics, he took the time out of his night to text me back back-and-forth and go over options. And then continued onto a Saturday where we went back-and-forth multiple times due to my stubbornness, and he was patient enough to wait for my final decision. I had an event to get to on Saturday night and he assured me that signing the car would only take a few minutes, which it did and I was able to pull out of the lot with my dream car and make it to the event on time. I have always gotten my cars through Starling Chevrolet, but he made this Car buying experience seamless. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who is interested in buying a new vehicle. More

I can no longer give this dealership top reviews with regard to service. My husband bought a 2021 Buick from them in March with a warranty still available as it had low mileage. We have had it serviced regard to service. My husband bought a 2021 Buick from them in March with a warranty still available as it had low mileage. We have had it serviced at Sterling. In October, the service transmission light came on so he took it into the dealership. They ordered the part on 10/17 and told him he could continue to drive the car. He would continue to check with them about the part and was told it was on back order. A few weeks ago the transmission quit working. He had the car towed to Sterling and still no part. They only put him in a rental for 10 days. The part is still on back order and he is at the bottom of the list for a loaner. This is terrible customer service! More
