Bad Service I did not have an appointment for an oil change, But figured I can be squeezed in. Well I was the only one waited at 7 am. Wes said That I would have wait until 8 am. I am saying to myself. If you open at 7 am. Why not do the work at this time. I have planned on going in early so. I can have the rest of the day to take care of other business. But that was not so. I decided to leave. I could not wait. And the staff could not even try to help. Just saying he will see what he can do. I have to say. The staff is so cold and no compassion. I guess I need to look for another dealer. Even if I purchased my car from Star Subaru. This is the second time I was treated this way at the service center. I thought the best business is to keep customers happy, and they always come back. for the service and the staff. More
Bad service I called 2 weeks ago to report a problem. An oil leak on top of the engine. Service rep. Said it could be nothing. Clean it up. Check the leak and if it comes back call him again. I checked 3 days lter. And the leak is there again. I called the service rep Lou answered. I told him I have an oil leak and need an appointment. Also mentioned the A/C problem.when the A/C is on the engine vibrates. He said it was normal . I told him to make appointment. And Sept 10. I was the first customer. When I got to the counter. Louis said I was put in for an oil change. And I said no. I have an oil leak. Lou complained he has 2 guys for oil change only. I step out to make a call. I see my car being driven out the service yard. That is bad service . Lou did not even try to help me.nor ask me if I was finished with the service dept. Just drive my car out of the yard. I am really upset at this bad service and the rudeness that I had to deal with. More
I had very bad experience at the service center! I own 2 cars and they are both Subaru. I have been using Subaru over 4years. However, I went to the start Subaru service yesterday and dropped my car I own 2 cars and they are both Subaru. I have been using Subaru over 4years. However, I went to the start Subaru service yesterday and dropped my car for oil change and recall service. Today when I went to the bodyshop to pick up the car. I found the $122.87 for service payment. I only authorized the oil change and the recall part. I never asked for changing cabin filter. By the time, I did not have time to argued for extra $ 66.04 so I paid and left the bodyshop. the service advisor name was Wes D. I felt very upset and disappointed about the service. I may think about do not purchase any Subaru with this retail anymore because the service is not Satisfactory anymore. More
Poor customer service - they lie to you I went in for an oil consumption test and they lie all the way through and try to blame you the entire time. They are sexist and try to take advantage of you. Every time I brought my car to them it's instantly an issue. Wes will argue with you the entire time trying to make it your fault. He continued to tell me I had to bring my car back for the oil consumption test at 1,000 Miles despite the owner manual stating 1,200 miles. He than insisted I pay for the oil change because even though it's part of the oil consumption process It's not free only the test. I than spoke to the service manager Steve who insisted I pay as well. My sister had the same issue with her Subaru and the smith town dealership didn't make her pay. When I called the corporate Subaru office I was told I was correct and I did not have to pay that they should have billed it under claims and I will be reimbursed by Subaru. As well the policy states 1200 miles not 1000 miles for the test. Run from this place. Wes also tried to scam me by telling me that it was the washer that wells the issue but didn't tell me that the washer flattens when you tighten it on and so the new one would be thicker than the old one removed. Because I'm not a mechanic I didn't know this until I asked one. Subaru admitted oil consumption is an issue so I shouldn't have to fight like this. Dot I'm corporate was very pleasant and kind and supportive so it's not Subaru it's this dealership. Never go here More

He sounded sincer It's All About Lou! Here's a guy who asked for my name and introduced himself by name over the phone before we even talked business. He sounded sincere, actually listened to what I had to say and took my theory on what the problem was into consideration. That struck an immediate chord with me. (turned out my theory was correct!). I'm not used to good Customer Service in NYC, but he was absolutely wonderful from the moment I called to the moment I picked up my car after the work was completed. There was a little bit of a hiccup when the wrong part came in, but he immediately called and kept me informed. I got the car back and everything I had asked for was completed professionally. I will definitely be returning to Lou. A new reason, among many, why I drive a Subaru. More
