All Liars! Do not shop at Star Subaru in Bayside NY. I was looking for a car for my friend, and found one online at Star. The online price was $4,995 for a 2006 Do not shop at Star Subaru in Bayside NY. I was looking for a car for my friend, and found one online at Star. The online price was $4,995 for a 2006 Nissan Altima. It was a very good price for that car, with only 77,000 miles on the odometer. I saw the price early in the week, but because I live and worked in Brooklyn, my only free time to go look at the car was Saturday. I went there around 6pm, looked at the car, liked it, while talking to the salesman Bob something, I told him I liked it and proceeded to put down a $500 dollar down payment. I told him it was for a friend and we can come in tomorrow to finish the paperwork and final payment in cash. He seemed very hesitant and off putting stating a wild scenario that has a very little chance of happening. He stated that this down was to hold the price of the car and that if someone came in before I came back to do the final deal, they would sell the car to that person. Before I left I told him I would be back before Wednesday with my friend to do the final purchase. I accepted his scenario and made sure my friend and I returned after work Monday. I came on Monday because I was planning to bring my friend Sunday for final payment but this weak, lying used car salesman said they could not process anything from the DMV on Sunday. I accepted that excuse and left. I returned on Monday at 6pm with my friend, the cash and guess what……NO CAR! So this imaginary scenario of someone coming in between the time I left Saturday and when I return Monday, someone came in and paid cash for the car. Could that really happen?? I don’t think so! So I flipped out and demanded the manager come speak to me. Some xxxxxxx named Gus was the one would I directed my anger to. I know they lied about selling the car since it was in the same exact position it was when I left on Saturday. So did they really sell it?? I don’t think so. I was very angry that day in the way Star do business. I come in, look at a car, like it, put money down on a car and return the very next business day to complete my purchase. If that scenario was correct of someone coming in with cash and buying the car I feel that that was a very rude and distrustful act on their part. They should have called me and told me they were selling the car, or give me the time frame I said I would be back so I could complete my purchase. If this is how Star does business, then that means if you go in and put a down payment on any car, Star will sell that same car to anyone else who comes in after you. They would give you any notice or time so you can conduct business on a first come first served basis. You will waste your time going to a location, even if it’s out of your way and they would sell the car you promised to come back and purchase a second, a minute, an hour or day later because the next person has cash. That’s not how you do business. Now to the truth as to why they did not sell me the car. Apparently the person responsible for putting cars on their website made an error. So in order for that person not to get in trouble they would rather screw me over instead of owning up to the mistake that was made and stuck to what the advertised. Since I save the online post about the car they could not tell me the price was wrong, they have to honor that price, as advertised. But instead they lied and played games with me saying they sold the car. These actions tell volumes of what kind of business Star Subaru of Bayside is. They are liars and would never admit to doing something wrong. Don’t do business with Star Subaru, they will never tell you the truth and they won’t hold up their end of anything if it hurts their pockets. You can’t trust them at all! More

Wes said That I would have wait until 8 am. I am saying to myself. If you open at 7 am. Why not do the work at this time. I have planned on going in early so. I can have the rest of the day to take care of other business. But that was not so. I decided to leave. I could not wait. And the staff could not even try to help. Just saying he will see what he can do. I have to say. The staff is so cold and no compassion. I guess I need to look for another dealer. Even if I purchased my car from Star Subaru. This is the second time I was treated this way at the service center. I thought the best business is to keep customers happy, and they always come back. for the service and the staff. More

I went to the dealership on a Saturday having shopped around at other dealerships first. I gave Will my best price for a Legacy and after a little negotiation with Will and Doug, a manager, they met the price and had the car in the color I wanted in stock with the equipment package I wanted. Picked up the car the following Wednesday. Paperwork was streamlined and accurate, no bs, no hidden fees, no bank fees, no doc fees, no window etching scams, all in all a great experience. Will definitely buy more cars here in the future. Highly recommended. More
