The service department for STAR Nissan is horrible. You purchase an extended warranty when buying the car and when there is a problem the "specialized mechanics" at the Nissan service center can't seem to purchase an extended warranty when buying the car and when there is a problem the "specialized mechanics" at the Nissan service center can't seem to produce what you are claiming has happenend in order for them to fix it. At an hourly rate of 106.00 per hour you would think that they could fix anything. They always have an answer to avoid fixing the concern. We have been going back and forth with the service department about a rattling sound that we hear in our 2006 Murano. Initially we were told to change the type of gas, we have changed the type of gas and there was still no resolution of the problem. They changed the catalytic converter twice because they said it could be to blame. Well it's not the noise is still rattling away I gave up on trying to have them fix the problem. Another problem is the passenger door in the front creaks which is quite annoying they repadded the door the noise continued. They said I had to purchase a new door because they could do nothing about the creaking of the door. Next problem the driver's seat, is cracked their response was that maybe we do not know how to sit on the seat. I contacted Nissan North America about this one but they said the manager from the service station indicated that the customer is to blame for the seat therefore nothing can be done. This whole fiasco took about 7 months to resolve with their final answer being I can purchase a new seat for 1600.00 dollars. Nissan I am sorry to say does not stand behind their products. When people ask me how I like the Murano I tell them and I am sure that the money Nissan would have spent to correctly fix the problems I had would have been less than the "advertising" they are getting now when people ask me for my opinion. Stay away not worth the headaches, buy American from now on. More
I purchased my 1998 Altima from Star Nissan and while driving it more than 100,000 miles, I have been able to always rely on Star Nissan for maintenance and repairs. They have certainly come to know me driving it more than 100,000 miles, I have been able to always rely on Star Nissan for maintenance and repairs. They have certainly come to know me and my Nissan over the years and they have provided excellent customer service. That does not mean that there have not been a couple of slip ups, but they always do whatever it takes to correct the problem/issue. I rely on the quality of the parts and workmanship that they provide to protect me and my family. I highly recommend Star Nissan and plan to purchase my new Nissan from them. More
