She then introduced me to Edgar Martinez who I worked without throughout the deal. I found the experience to be far less stressful than my previous car buying experiences and I would attribute this to 1.using TruCar and making contact before entering the dealership and 2.the friendliness of the staff. I was given a good deal and treated fairly. Even when I returned to get an ipass I had forgotten from my trade-in, I was approached by at least 5 salesmen asking me if I needed help. This has not been my experience at other dealerships. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took a very long time to get to the financing step even after we had reached a deal. More

You ask him for a price and your accept and trust the deal. He is completely honest. He is a gentleman, who represents Berman in a way in which all employees should represent their companies. I recommend Star Nissan and particularly recommmend that you ask for Billy Werner. He has been there for many years and hopefully will continue to be well for many more years. More

From my inquiry online handled by Gail, to the greeting I received when I came to look at the truck, this team was awesome! Even the VP Rob Majesky took the time to greet me and later sit down and talk with me while my financing was being worked on. They went and found the exact year and color Juke I wanted from another location, drove it to Niles for me, and then Jim even bought me dinner!!! Not to mention a got a fair price and the best financing available for my situation. What an awesome and personable team. I will buy from them exclusively in the future. Thanks Star! Cheri More

When I finally selected the car I wanted Keith was extremely helpful in setting up the deal for the Rogue I selected. I then met with the business manager to sign the final documents. He was very efficient and professional as was all the Star personnel I had contact with. All in all, the whole purchase process was unbelievably smooth. I am very pleased with the Rogue. I would not hesitate to recommend Star Nissan to anyone looking to purchase a car. Don McMahon More

Dishonest and no follow through I was buying a vehicle from this dealership from out of town. I called them and asked the salesman to inspect the vehicle to insure in was in good sh I was buying a vehicle from this dealership from out of town. I called them and asked the salesman to inspect the vehicle to insure in was in good shape with no damage or rust. I was told it was perfect. I also asked them to have the vehicle ready since I was driving in from out of town. When I arrived, they had not gotten the vehicle ready and worst of all the vehicle had damage to the front end. The dealership had basically lied to get me to come there. Of course the manager said they don't lie, so he apologized and said he would help me on the price. After taking it for a test drive, he told me he would give me $400 for the repair after they had lied about the damage to begin with and had said if they fixed it it would raise the price by $800. Since I drove so far to purchase it, I decided to buy the vehicle anyway and get it fixed, the cheapest estimate I could find after getting 4 was for $968. They also had a part on order for the vehicle, which they were going to ship to me when it arrived. I still have never received that and despite calling and emailing have not received an answer. The night I purchased it, the entire process took them over 3 hours to complete and the financing could not secure a good rate so late at night, so I wanted to quickly refinance the vehicle. When I called to inquire on the title Arthur in finance said he would check and call be back in an hour. He never called back. I then called him 4 more times and left messages and he would not return my calls. So I called the used car manager Neil. Once again he apologized for his staff and told me to just wait and wouldn't give me my loan information. I hung up and called the bank with no information and luckily they were more helpful and were able to look it up for me. Once I had my loan information I called Neil back to ask about when they sent out the package so I could get my title to refinance and then Neil started to not return my phone calls. This dealership is shady and just passes the blame for one person to the next. More
Perfect Car-Buying Experience Being right out of college and this being my first car-buying experience, I was literally so excited to buy a car at Star that I would do it over and Being right out of college and this being my first car-buying experience, I was literally so excited to buy a car at Star that I would do it over and over again, if I could. Everything was prepared for me in advance and Eli (Ilia) was in constant communication with me from the very start. Not only is he absolutely professional in every sense - cordial, kind, and considerate, but he knows his cars and inventory from to back. I have gone to other local Nissans and no service came close to this phenomenal customer-oriented service. Steve H. assisted me as well throughout the entire process and was able to work through any little kinks that came up (of course there is no such thing as a perfect car buying experience, but seemed like so!) I went in wanting a Maxima, ended up looking and test driving a Rogue, and purchasing a Sentra. Eli and Steve were very cognizant of my budget and desires and made it absolutely clear that they did not want me getting a vehicle unless I loved it and wanted it to be MINE. They did not let me settle, even when I almost did. My Sentra SR is 2014 with 3,000 miles and it is an absolute gem. I recommend Star Nissan to anyone looking to purchase ANY car. Star truly values its customers and treats you the way you DESERVE to be treated – respectful of your taste, choice, budget and needs. Always ask for Eli when you go there, you will not be disappointed. More
Satisfactory Service After going to multiple Nissan dealerships and learning all their tricks and cons, I came to this one very prepared. I went in with a TrueCar transpa After going to multiple Nissan dealerships and learning all their tricks and cons, I came to this one very prepared. I went in with a TrueCar transparency price. This leaves them very little room to negotiate. In addition, I came in knowing my credit score and the fair market value rate of APR financing for that score. The salesman I worked with, Luis, was very honorable of the TrueCar price, although he did stick me with a $400 City Package fee that was not on there (this service is most likely worth $100). Oh well, still a good price, so we start on APR. He comes back to me with 8%. I'm like sigh... I have 725 credit, try again. They came back with 3.3%. Okay fine just a little higher than expected. We went through the rest of the paperwork. It was late after the dealership was closed, but Luis was very kind and helpful throughout the whole process, and I didn't feel once like he was trying to rush me so he can go home. Also, after the sale I had a couple questions and texted Luis. He responded to me right away, which was much appreciated. All in all, I left with a brand new Nissan Versa S plus, with fees, tax, title, and lifetime interest ($1K) totaling to $15K. This was $2K less than the best price I had at 3 previous dealerships. Compared to those dealerships (Mid-City, Western, Autobarn) they were the most reasonable in price negotiations and friendliness. The other dealerships got mad at me when I called them out on their sleazy tactics as if I was in the wrong. Here at least they take your point professionally and work with you. If you are looking to buy a Nissan in Chicago land area save yourself some time and come to these guys first. More
