This may not be the way you would lease a car, but I had my reasons. When my 2007 Cadillac DTS came off lease, there was no comparible Cadillac sedan available. I was told that there would be an XTS but my reasons. When my 2007 Cadillac DTS came off lease, there was no comparible Cadillac sedan available. I was told that there would be an XTS but I would have to wait a year. So I purchased my DTS. In 2012 I started paying attention to the Cadillac new car ads and found the information on the XTS. I poured over that information for many months and was really fasinated with CUE. I read everything I could get my hands on about CUE and the new XTS until finally at the end of December I decided that my DTS was ready to go. My husband had leased a Cadillac SRX from Star Cars about 18 months ago and that's where I purchased my DTS after it came off lease. I wanted to deal with the young man who my husband had dealt with but he was no longer at Star Cars when we walked in, but this other very nice young man, CURT COFFEY greeted us, so I was willing to work with him. I told Curt exactly what I wanted and said that I had done my research so he should not try to get me something I wasn't interested in. What were the chances that he would have the exact car in inventory? I was prepared to wait if what I wanted was not immediately available. Guess what, Star Cars had exactly what I wanted. So of course, Curt wanted to show it to me immediately and wanted me to drive it. But I said "NO". I had made up my mind that the only way I would lease or buy the Cadillac of my dreams was if I could afford it. So I told Curt that the only way I would drive the car would be if I was the owner. So we had to make a deal first that I could afford before I would even sit in the car. A couple hours later, I was the owner of my leased 2013 Cadillac XTS, Crimson Red with a sun roof and my new friend CUE. During the negotiation time, I got to know Curt very well. He had moved to the area to take care of his mother. Being an older woman myself, I was interested in knowing how he came to make that kind of a decision. Needless to say, by the time I learned everything I could about Curt and his family, I felt like we were long time friends. Since the lease deal in December, I have had occasion to go to the service department at Star Cars. On one such occasion, I came across an 84 year old woman, also waiting to have her car serviced. She and I started up a conversation and by the time my car was finished, she and I hugged and wished each other good health for a long time. I was looking to get a price on a brand new ATS and they kept trying to push me into a dealer used car with 800 miles and sell it as new The shocking part wasn't even that they were attempting to manipulat kept trying to push me into a dealer used car with 800 miles and sell it as new The shocking part wasn't even that they were attempting to manipulate me into purchasing a used car as new, but in the fact that the price they demanded was exactly the same as a true new car. The games played at this dealership are some of the worst I've seen and despite my clear instruction on what I was looking for, they pushed everything but what I wanted. There was no desire to please me as a customer, just to make me another sucker-sale. I can't imagine the reviews on the site from other buyers or potential buyers are 100% factual. I stopped several times at Star GMC Quakertown looking for used cars and was approached by Curt Coffey, salesman. He guided me through several options for a quality used SUV. Curt took the time to explain everything on the vehicle, was very courteous and pleasant to work with. After the sale, he kept in touch with me to make sure that everything was OK with the vehicle. In my opinion Curt is a 5 star salesman and I would recommend him and the dealership to anyone who is in the market for a new or used vehicle. The quality of the service work that was performed at your dealership was excellent and the service department was very helpful with any questions I had pertaining to the vehicle. Curt was very friendly and professional. He set up a demo ride and answered all our questions concerning the car. Our only complaint was that we thought an extended warranty was included in our deal. We found out from Frank that it was not and an additional $2300 had been included in our payment. But Frank did not pressure us in any way and when we indicated we no longer wanted the extended warranty he wrote up a new bill of sale which reduced our payments appreciably. So although we were not happy about having to pay extra for the warranty, we were satisfied with the way Frank handled it. More
I would like to address my recent experience with Star Buick, GMC, Cadillac in Quakertown PA. Let me start off by saying I am not your typical used car buyer. I am the look at a minimum of 30 cars, spend 6 months doing it, find the cleanest one around and then negotiate the hell out of it. My recent purchase of a 2011 Avalanche drove me crazy as well as my wife and everyone I came into contact with. I started with an intuitive call to STAR in Quakertown PA. about a 2011 Avalanche advertised on the internet. I spoke to a sales Consultant by the name of Denny Cumberbatch. He gave me an honest walk around the vehicle describing the condition as brutally honest as he could. He assured me my hour and a half drive out to his dealership would be worth my time and he was right. What was even better was that when I got out there he showed me another one in a different color that was also in equally impeccable condition that I didn’t even consider. The best part was he had me and my wife take our choice of the two and drive to go get lunch in the vehicle. No pressure!! If you are considering this dealership go see Denny. He was awesome!! The next interaction I had at the dealership was with Thomas J. Lawrence III (Sales Manager). I tried to beat up Tom on the price and he was solid with his numbers, however he threw in some nice extras!!!. ( I did my homework after the sale and spoke to the original owner in MD. I found out Tom wasn’t kidding about his price, the original owner told me what he traded it in for). Tom was a standup guy and didn’t play the typical B.S. Sales manager I was finding at some of the other dozen dealerships I dealt with. Frank Berry was the business manager that went over financing with me and helped with all the paperwork. A stand up guy and no fancy dancing around hidden fees or other unknown numbers I would be paying for. I went to this dealership several times (driving everyone crazy) and they all couldn’t have been nicer dealing with my questions and concerns. I showed up early and my vehicle wasn’t done yet so another sales manager Jared Nyce bought me lunch while I waited!! (It doesn’t get more classy than that.) Last but not least, Steve Foster, the detailer did an awesome job detailing my truck. I couldn’t have been happier with his work. Steve also seems to relate to my feelings and expectations about a properly detailed car. He truly cared about getting every swirl mark out of the black paint. He is awesome at detailing vehicles and hopefully can get him to detail my vehicle again!!! If you are looking for a great experience, price and vehicle definitely contact STAR.
