When I got home, I reviewed the invoice and noticed they had put 5qts. of synthetic oil in my 2007 Prius, which I didn't request. Also, my Prius only takes 4qts of oil. I have made calls to service department and customer relations manager, left messages explaining the situation and asking for a credit for the synthetic oil - no replies! I also sent 2 emails with no response. Based on my experience, I will no longer have our Prius serviced at Stapp Toyota. FYI I've been having my Prius serviced at Stapp for the last 14 years. More
My truck was purchased from the dealership and the reason for this service was some road damage from debris in the roadway; and as it turned out a warranty issue came up during the repair process. SHAME ON BRION STAPP, ART STAPP, CLINT STAPP, and ROBERT STAPP! AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. *PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK – YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!* I am based in Texas and specifically called Toyota STAPP! AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. *PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK – YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!* I am based in Texas and specifically called Toyota dealerships in Colorado to ask about a high demand vehicle that was hardly being allocated to my state. I have family in the Denver area, so I figured that it would be easier to fly there to handle paperwork if the dealership could find me a vehicle that I was after. I started my communication out by specifically asking if this Stapp Toyota sold to out of state buyers and after explaining which vehicle I was after, I was told to submit my driver’s license information + a $1,000 deposit (which they charged my credit card for) ALMOST 9-10 MONTHS AGO. After getting updates every 2 weeks from my sales consultant (Whitney Wolfe) for a solid 9 months, I get a phone call from Ron Fifer (Executive Sales Manager – New Vehicles) that it is their policy to not sell this particular vehicle to out of state buyers as they don’t get allocated very many. Now I understand the dealership wanting to keep this vehicle for their own market/area, but WHY wasn’t this communicated to me when I initially gave up my personal information and put down a deposit 9 months ago? Also, why wasn’t I told this during the course of the 9 months that I waited?? There are currently 25+ people at this dealership in either operational/sales management or sales staff roles, and when hardly any new vehicles are being allocated to this dealership by Toyota corporate (due to the chip crisis), why isn’t anybody looking over the list of the buyers that have been waiting more than half a year for a vehicle to come in for them? What have the folks at this dealership been doing this entire time? Put at least one person on that duty to review buyers!! I was then informed that since I’ve been waiting for so long, they would discuss my particular case with upper management (Brion Stapp, Art Sapp, Clint Stapp, and Robert Stapp) to see if they can make an exemption. Well come to find out, these owners/management staff don’t care that I’ve been waiting for so long and gave up a large chunk of money (and time) to their dealership for 9 months. They no longer wanted to consider me as a potential buyer/customer and simply wanted to return the deposit that I made. During this long wait period, I could have used this money for SO many other things in life or simply invested it, where I could have made a higher return rather than simply to have my money returned while we undergo record high inflation (meaning it no longer holds the same value). Shame on this leadership team and shame on their lack of operations. I hope they hold a dealership wide meeting and LEARN from this mistake as this negative review is a reflection of their lack of oversight on their processes. More
Super pragmatic, no nonsense, from sales rep (Louis) through management (Stapp Family)! Salesman expertly handled all aspects of the sales process, including financing and new car orientation. through management (Stapp Family)! Sales person was great and I would give him a 5-star personally. But the car needed $1300 in work as soon as we got home! The power steering went out completely on the car while my son was driving it in personally. But the car needed $1300 in work as soon as we got home! The power steering went out completely on the car while my son was driving it in the mountains. We drive mountain passes in CO and could have had a really bad accident as it was super hard to navigate this huge car without power steering. Car supposedly went through a 70 point check by their service department. The mechanic who fixed it said any mechanic worth his salt would have never missed that. We thought by buying a used car directly from Toyota it would be a good experience mechanically. Boy did we get that wrong! We knew it was an older car but we trusted their assessment provided to us in writing. It was either not accurate, not completed, or completely a lie. I would not trust this dealership. More
Received a call almost immediately after submitting an inquiry into the price of a new Toyota, so excellent responsiveness. As far as getting useful information from the dealership, let's just say it too inquiry into the price of a new Toyota, so excellent responsiveness. As far as getting useful information from the dealership, let's just say it took a while to get an answer. Long story short, I'm told the vehicle is available but it will be marked up thousands of dollars over MSRP. Any dealership charging over MSRP for a new vehicle deserves low marks. You can argue a car is a consumable good, but for those of us who need a vehicle in order to get to work, etc., it is a necessity and this is a form of opportunistic price gouging. More
DONT BUY or use service department. Went in for strut replacement, truck came back with huge braking system failure. I have reported them to Secretary of State at 303-205-5600. They have received several replacement, truck came back with huge braking system failure. I have reported them to Secretary of State at 303-205-5600. They have received several reports about this dealership, the owner/ principal Brian Stapp, service manager ( idiot) Ryan, who is responsible for tampering with braking system. Per another dealership. My brakes won’t disengage, brake lights always on, 3 braking light warning flash, check engine light on, pre collision light flashes. 33,000 miles, only owned it 4 months, under warranty. How fair is this ? More
