I went to this dealership 3 separate times. The first guy I spoke with was not helpful at all, so I left. The second guy was even worse - borderline rude. The third guy took my name, number, and wrote down what I wanted & actually acted like he might be helpful - but I never heard from him. The only question that any of the clowns asked was if I or anybody in my family worked for GM. I told them "no" so I guess they figured I would not buy from them? They are the closest Chevy dealer to me, so I really wanted to do business with them. But, they just don't carry that many cars & I guess they figure people won't return. This place should fire whomever it is that trains their sales people. More
I contacted Jason approximately 2 weeks ago about trading in my lifted crew cab GMC Canyon Z71 2WD on a stock crew cab Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme that they had on their lot. The communication was great and Ja in my lifted crew cab GMC Canyon Z71 2WD on a stock crew cab Chevrolet Colorado Xtreme that they had on their lot. The communication was great and Jason would return my emails quickly. We discussed the issue of my location in relation to them. I live 6.5+ hours away in Tennessee, but they had a truck that I was very interested in. I answered all of their questions about my truck, most likely told them more than what they cared to know. I told them about the work that was put into the truck, everything I was willing to do to help them resell it (replace parts due to the custom nature of mine) and the only thing I asked was that I could do a straight trade. I told them that I did not have the title in hand, but was currently working on it due to a mix up at the bank (they sent it to the wrong address) but I would have it within the week (I received the paperwork needed to get the title on Saturday, the 28th.) Don assured me this was okay since what they would most likely do was keep the title to the Xtreme until I mailed them the title to the Canyon, then they would send out the Xtreme's title. After several discussions, pictures and phone calls between Jason and me and Don (floor manager) and me, we came to the conclusion that they wanted my truck and were willing to do a straight trade if I drove up there. They even worked with me on when I could come down there due to me having to attend some military training out of town for a week (23-27Jan). So, we agreed that I would drive my truck up there on the 28th of January to do the trade. I arrived in Indiana approximately 1130 in the morning their time (1 hour time shift from where I live) and found Jason. He greeted me with a smile and hand shake and we began the personal introductions and talks. He handed me the keys to the Xtreme and let me and my friend take it for a test spin. I drove it a quarter mile down the road, turned around and came back, I wanted it. My keys were handed to Jeff and he looked everything over and liked what he saw, everything was as I described it, he wanted it. The owner of the dealership did not feel comfortable that I did not have a title in hand, so I spent the next 3 hours getting as much paperwork as I could to show that I did in fact own it and it was paid off. This included a photo copy of the title the bank sent me, calls to the bank to get a lien release letter, my credit report and I even offered to put a deposit down to show them that I was serious. After the 3 hours of working with me, Jason approached me and said "Can I tell you something without you getting mad?" I knew it wasn't good, but figured that I was up a creek due to me not having all the papers, which I was not very happy about due to what I was told prior to going up there. His next words didn't register to me for what a good minute or two (at least that is what it seemed like to me at the time). "The owner does not want your truck because it isn't 4 wheel drive." After I realized what he said, I chuckled because it had to be a joke. They knew the truck was a 2wd, they also knew that I had just driven 6.5 hours one way with their word that I would be able to trade the truck in if it was as described. They had my VIN number. This was a joke. It was not. They stopped doing business with me and just shrugged their shoulders. While Jeff and Jason were patient and courteous and worked with me while I was there, they were done with the deal. I had just spent $75-$100 in gas to get up there and taken almost half a day at that point to be away from my family (even after being TDY) to do this deal they said was good, and then they told me that they didn't want my truck because it wasn't 4wd. That meant that I had to spend another $75-$100 and another 6.5-7 hours in the truck to drive back home. Being that I was a little (very) agitated at this, I demanded they pay for the gas I used to drive there and back since this was something that was NOT my fault, that I had fulfilled everything on my end of our agreement and provided them with all the information about my truck. They offered to fill up my tank, which was around the half way mark and that is it. I understand there was no legal obligation behind our deal since no contract was signed so what they did was perfectly fine in a legal sense. To you Mr. Stanley (whichever one of you decided to make this surprising decision) you have reminded me why I don't deal with dealerships I don't know. It amazes me that you or your salesmen will make a call like this and go back on your/their word which results in a massive inconvenience for someone else. Morally and ethically, this is something I couldn't stomach doing to another person that upheld their end of an agreement. Good luck to the consumer that enters this dealer. Hopefully this review will forewarn those that attempt to work with this dealer about their practices. If you do venture into their showroom, I certainly hope you fair far better than I did... More

(665 credit and got 3.59 percent on a USED car!!!) We couldn't have been happier to get our 2009 Impala that we wanted. We shopped around A LOT... and then found Stanley Chevrolet. Their price was slightly higher than a few others but the Impala we got had 10K less miles and was in absolutly perfect condition for only a few hundred more bucks! I just wanted to write a good review for them because they worked so hard for our business and ended up saving us 1000's in interest and other people should try them too. Ask for Kevin and Ajesh! We drove an hour to look at a group of used vehicles at this dealership. To our surprise, this dealership does NOT offer CarFax on its used vehicles. As explained to us, the owner does not believe in the this dealership. To our surprise, this dealership does NOT offer CarFax on its used vehicles. As explained to us, the owner does not believe in them because "only 20 states participate in the program." This was a red flag, but we visited there to look at four vehicles that we'd found online. The one that interested us had a broken power seat. We were told that the problem would be reported to management. We said we liked the vehicle and would get back with them. We told them that we'd need to buy a vehicle by the next weekend. That next Friday we called Stanley to check on the status of this vehicle as we remained interested in it. Not only had the power seat not been repaired, it was likely that they couldn't even manage it until the next Tuesday, well past our deadline. Furthermore, word from the owner was that they would not agree to repair the seat UNLESS we agreed to buy it; otherwise, the owner planned to "get rid of the vehicle" like it was garbage. We felt like we were being held hostage, and, even though this vehicle was our top choice, we took our business elsewhere. Most other dealerships were quick to offer repairs on issues we found with used vehicles. One called us within a couple of hours of leaving their lot to tell us that they'd taken the car to the body shop within minutes of us leaving. And of all the dealerships we visited, this was the ONLY one that didn't offer CarFax. The question here is WHY? The behavior of this dealership certainly indicates that they are NOT customer-focused. They care ONLY about their own troubles, self-interests, and bottom line. Why would anyone want to shop there? Our advice? Avoid this dealership. Note: Jason was great. I recommend he get a job elsewhere. More
