Mediocre Experience I started my vehicle search as I was nearing a lease end. I looked far and wide for the right new car for my family, I landed on the Durango. I am not an idiot when it comes to buying cars, I have had many cars in my life-all purchased from dealerships. I landed with St J because the price was unbeatable in comparison to my local dealership in Chittenden County, St J also had the model I wanted, so it was a no brainer (or so I thought). At first I was issued an interaction with Ariel Miller who was less than unprofessional, her demeaner and mannerisms should have never landed her a job in customer service, especially one where the only goal is to get people to "choose you". I was jerked around on price of the new vehicle and trade in value on my current ride. Finally landing on an agreeable payment I made the 2 hour venture to the dealership. Upon first glance this "show room kept" Durango looked perfect. I get the thing home and get a really good look at it, the thing is covered in dents and the paint is full of dirt-even had some wet sanding spots that were never buffed. We own an autobody shop so my fiancé has an eye for these imperfections. The $2,000 hood has damage to it and the alignment is off. Upon confronting the dealership I was told they would comp me $250 for repairs on the bodywork and that I should bring the vehicle back to get the alignment fixed. Is this standard these days? Buy a brand new car and end up having to invest (time and money) in repairs? I think I will choose a more honest and organized dealership next round. More
