Hello Rex. My name is Connie Gainer, Nissan Owner Loyalty Manager here at Youngblood. I am sorry you are upset about your son having to pay for the 1 hour of diagnosis on his car. I do believe this may be a case of miscommunication. The $150 was for the time spent by our technician doing the Nissan recommended ECM update, testing the line pressure and test driving. Unfortunately, we could not get the car to throw any codes by doing these things. As your Advisor explained, he did not want to start recommending new parts and certainly not a new transmission. Not only would that be expensive, it would not be covered by any warranty if no codes would come up. Your son brought it in with a jerking complaint. There was no check engine lights or anything else. Nissan recommends that once the ECM update is done and the lines are tested that your son continue to drive for a while longer to see if the problem continues. I do want to mention as your Advisor explained, if the check engine light comes on at any point, no appointment necessary - bring it straight back here during business hours and we will get you in right away. Also, we would not charge a 2nd diagnosis fee if that happens. At that point, the extended warranty should step in and possibly we could even get the first diagnosis fee recovered if everything aligns just right going forward. We certainly want to take care of your sons car, we just have to follow the proper channels. We in no way want anyone upset or to have hard feelings. At this point, we just have to be able to pay the technician for his time as I'm sure you can understand. My review isnt the best but just know you almost lost a customer and potentially a consumer of new cars in the future for i have become pretty loyal to Nissan vehicles and i plan on purchasing at least two more for my daughters as they become old enough for their first car or truck Id feel confident in keeping my girls safe in a dependable Nissan Thanks again Sincerely Rex A Groves
