I had a great experience with Spotlight and highly recommend them. My '95 Mercedes E320 had reached the point of unjustifiable repair expenses and I was in need of a vehicle quickly. I stopped by Spot recommend them. My '95 Mercedes E320 had reached the point of unjustifiable repair expenses and I was in need of a vehicle quickly. I stopped by Spotlight and was impressed with their selection. I purchased a 2004 VW Passat W8(275hp!)4motion Wagon. Chris said he could take my Benz in on trade and send it to the auction. This was helpful and allowed me to avoid the additional expense of repairs. Chuck handled my test drive and the paperwork. The Passat is AWESOME. Black, with Black leather, sports suspension, etc.. This was a car which sold for $41K new and I got it for $15K w/53K miles. About a week after I bought it, the Mass Air Flow sensor bit the dust(fairly common). I called Chris and he said they would take care of it, which he did. I also was able to purchase an extended warranty through them. I have owned the car for a year now and have had NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. It's a machine. Chris and Chuck are the kind of guys who understand that their business is built on satisfying customers. They seem to "get it" that their success lies in not just selling me this car, but seeing to it that I was comfortable with the process, and laying the ground work to sell me another car in the future. I appreciate their honesty and wil continue to recommend them. AT NO TIME did I experience any of the tired, over used, worn out, "let me talk to my Manager", hoaky sales routine that I've experienced first hand at large corporate conglomerate dealerships(take your pick). Overall great experience at this dealer. I saw the vehicle I was interested in on their website, through Autotrader, and Spotlight was responsive to my initial email. I walked onto their lot and was g vehicle I was interested in on their website, through Autotrader, and Spotlight was responsive to my initial email. I walked onto their lot and was greeted and treated respectfully. After speaking with Chris for a bit about the vehicle, I took it for a test drive that was long enough to test it out on residential roads and highway as well as test out all of the features of the vehicle. It seemed to be in great shape for it's age. When I returned I spoke with Chuck and although he's a serious guy, he's very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and not pushy. Unfortunately a warranty was not offered. After going home to sleep on the decision (a mid-day nap) I decided to call and make the purchase. The transaction went extremely smoothly. Spotlight even went out of their way to pick me up the next day and bring me into the dealer to pick up the vehicle. After about two weeks I'm still very pleased with my purchase and get compliments from friends and coworkers. Although the previous owner had installed somewhat cheap and poorly balanced tires, I've replaced them with winter "sport" tires and couldn't be happier. The remaining minor issues with this old Audi are typical of the model (fading LCD pixels on the cluster display and intermittently faulty oil temp sender) but I feel the purchase price was appropriate. Although I would have liked to see a warranty and service history if possible I would definitely make another purchase from this dealer. More
I am overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude as I write this review. Recently my son purchased his first car from Chuck Thomas and was very happy with the entire experience. I was so proud of him for doi this review. Recently my son purchased his first car from Chuck Thomas and was very happy with the entire experience. I was so proud of him for doing it on his own and felt happy with his choice. Unfortunately the car had engine problems less than 2 weeks after the purchase. We were faced with a very large bill to repair the car which devastated my son. We called Chuck Thomas and he said he would look into it. By the next morning Chuck had spoken to the repair shop and done research on the problem. He found that the cars were known for this problem and said this car wasn't one he planned to sell again. He offered to either pay half of the repairs or to put my son in a totally different car, with no out of pocket money from my son. I can't tell you how much we appreciate this gesture as we know that legally he is not obligated to do any of this. He is not only a stand-up human being but also someone who really cares about running a first class business. He helped take this bad situation and turn it into a positive for my son and for myself. I won't hesitate to send everyone I know to Spotlight Motors to purchase a car from Chuck Thomas. More
This is the worst dealership in Denver. They purchase cars that are in need of serious work and then price them without fixing any of the issues. Spotlight Motors is a fraud. They use a BMW mechanic who cars that are in need of serious work and then price them without fixing any of the issues. Spotlight Motors is a fraud. They use a BMW mechanic who works for a big dealership and fixes cars in his garage for Spotlight. There is no record of work nor a receipt to prove they ever repaired what they said they were going to. If you have a problem after you buy the car they fail to ever call you back and are rude to you if you ever to get ahold of them. It took them weeks to get my car ready to purchase when I was in desperate need of a car. Furthermore they false advertise features of a car and then say "I thought it had it" without doing the proper inspection! If you want to throw your money down the drain buy a car here if you want a good car that will run and not have problems I would not buy a car from this poorly run dealership. More
