Made an appt for a simple oil change. Took over 2 hours without a car wash! They have probable 20 service reps, managers and sales people standing around but must not have the service Took over 2 hours without a car wash! When I finally got my car, the tire pressure light had not been reset so I had to go back in for them to do that. They spent more time making the video of what extra services I should do then they did doing what I asked them to do. I will not go back to this dealership and would not recommend them to anyone else. More
Disappointing service! I have gone to this dealership for service and to purchase all of our Mazda vehicles for many years. Even when it was located in the old location on OBT. We had a very disappointing service experience. Our appointment was at 9am for an oil change, we did mention to please check the battery as it had a slow start. After 2.5 hours, they came to let us know their findings, they suggested tires and brake pads as they were both an emergency. Supposedly the battery was perfect. We decided to do the brake pads. Another 2.5 hours later, my husband kept asking Sasha for updates and informed her that we had to pick up our child and he had to leave by 1:30pm. She did not show a sense of urgency and blamed him for choosing an additional service that they had suggested which was supposedly an emergency to complete. He had to get a supervisor involved who supposedly had to stop the mechanic from completing the brake fluid wash which was part of the brake pad installation. To add to this, they messed with our car seats and it caused my infants car seat to flip while driving. And we went to check our battery somewhere else, as we still felt a slow start, and sure enough, the battery was about to die and needed to be replaced. To this day, the manager has not returned my call, it has been a week. They didn't update their charges to remove the brake flush. Terrible service. Very disappointing and frustrating. No one has an entire day to waste waiting for their car to be done with two simple services - oil change and brake pads. More
I brought my '18 CX-5 into Sport Mazda South for problems related to the timing cover. I've heard timing cover problems are common in the newer CX-5s, so I wasn't too surprised when Paul (one of the best ser related to the timing cover. He made sure it would be covered under the powertrain warranty and set up a loaner until I would get the car back. He was extremely personable and made a commonly negative experience a whole lot better. A few months after the service I noticed problems like the original symptoms, at this point I moved 4 hours away for school. I brought the car to two local dealerships to have it looked at. I explained to both dealerships it's most likely a timing cover-related problem and that it should be covered under the original powertrain warranty, especially since there are only 50,000 miles on the car. After going back to Naples Mazda to pick the car up they told me they would not do work on the car since it was previously serviced under the powertrain warranty for the same issue. I've never heard of a dealership declining service since it was done previously on the same issue, but alright. Brought the car into Mazda of Fort Myers and they said it "might" be covered under the powertrain warranty. Asked for $277 up-front so "their mechanics could get paid," despite me explaining it is definitely covered under warranty. I declined since I don't have $277 sitting around for something that "might" be covered. The service advisor (can't remember his name since he never introduced himself) left all the plastic sanitary wraps in the car when he gave it back to me. Obviously he didn't care anymore since his mechanics weren't getting paid. Once I got back from the second dealership, I sent an email to the owner and service manager of Sport Mazda South since it was sad the amount of hoops I was having to jump through to get my 4-year-old car serviced for a common issue in the CX-5’s (that was also covered under warranty). Jay and Bob got back to me within 24 hours. After a back and forth explaining the terrible experience I’d had, Bob Suranovich called me the next morning. He agreed it was sad the experience I was having and that he would send a porter down the 4-hour drive with a loaner so his mechanics could work to fix the issue up in Orlando. I’m not the type of person to “Karen” and talk to the manager, but he was one of the sincerest people I’ve gotten to know in the auto industry. Gave me his personal cell number if anything went wrong along the way. The next day his advisor called to get my information for the porter, and the day after that I had a loaner in my driveway and my car was up in Orlando. He kept the car for a few extra days to make sure the problem was fixed so he could test it which I really appreciated. Within a week I had my car back in my driveway, a multiple-month-long issue fixed within a week. The only thing I will say is my car tint has a bubble in it after the service, haven't had any bubbles up until this point but I would rather have my car fixed with a bubble in the tint than nothing at all. All dealerships are not bred the same, most are out there to make money off you. Sport Mazda South is one of the few there to help you, not to make money. More
