Untruthful game players I have been very pleased in the past with doing business on the web. I purchased a new Buick Enclave from Burke Buick in Cape May Court House NJ. To t I have been very pleased in the past with doing business on the web. I purchased a new Buick Enclave from Burke Buick in Cape May Court House NJ. To their credit the internet sales team were professional and honest and honored the quote they gave me without playing any games. My experience with Sport Dodge in Egg Harbor Twsp. NJ was anything but professional and honest. I was quoted a price of $35,196 for a Dodge Ram Pickup in January of 2016. I went to the dealership and met the internet salesperson that gave the quote. She referred me to a salesperson and I took the truck for a test drive. I was pleased with the truck and told the salesperson I would take the truck for the quoted price. To my surprise the salesperson knew nothing about the price quote. A search of their computer confirmed what I had said. The salesperson met with the sales manager and returned to tell me they could not sell the vehicle for the quoted price because there were rebates in the price that I did not qualify for. I asked what the rebates were and I was told Military, College Graduate and Customer Loyalty. I was given a new quote of $40,000. I asked how the rebates could total almost $5000. I withdrew my offer and went home to research what I was told. I called the manufacturer and learned what I was told was not the truth. The Military Rebate was a current offer with a value of $500,00. The College Graduate offer expired in April of 2015 some 9 months before my quote. The Loyalty Rebate was for leased vehicles not purchases. I called the dealership and informed the salesperson of my findings. I was told the manager would call me. I informed the manager of my findings and was told Sport offers the rebates even though the factory does not. I questioned how three rebates could increase the quote to $40,000 and was told Sport doubled the rebates. I asked if the sale price was $35,196 plus the $3000 which totaled $38,196 and I was informed the manager would take $39,000 for the vehicle. I expressed my displeasure with the entire experience stating I did not believe anything he said and suggested he should honor his employees quote. He insisted the quote was proper and denied the internet team member made a mistake. More

When I first met my salesman at Sport Dodge/Ram I told him "you're in for a long battle" and "I know what I want and it will have to be ordered". Now I'm hoping RAM Trucks can build my new Big Horn before the summer is half over... ; ) Update: I found a Ram 1500 4x4 Big Horn with an 8 speed tranmission that will get 21 MPG highway. I'm happy with the new 8 speed and 3.21 gears. Great deal. More
