I recently had a disappointing experience at Sport Chevrolet, Silver Spring that I feel compelled to share. After bringing my car in for an oil change, I discovered that the service team had mistakenl Chevrolet, Silver Spring that I feel compelled to share. After bringing my car in for an oil change, I discovered that the service team had mistakenly put the wrong type of oil in my vehicle. Upon realizing the error, I reached out to the dealership, hoping for a prompt resolution. Unfortunately, my concerns were met with indifference. I expected a higher level of service and accountability, especially given the potential damage that may occur from using the incorrect oil type to my 2025 Chevy suburban RST which supposed to taking a full synthetic oil. According to the receipt I was provided and the sticker on the windshield, the technician put a regular Oil instead. The lack of communication and urgency on their part was concerning. I had to take extra time out of my schedule to rectify this mistake, which should have been avoided entirely. I urge potential customers to exercise caution when choosing dealers. It’s critical to ensure that your vehicle is serviced by a team that prioritizes accuracy and customer care. I hope they can improve their processes to prevent this kind of issue in the future. More

Worst. A con job. EVSE plug was designed poorly and became loose. Dealer knew it and didn’t advise, but took it back for 2 hours of “diagnosis” so they coul A con job. My family has used Sport Chevy for two generations for all our cars. And Sport is the best dealership EVER. Folks like Rob McBride and Don Miller are intelligent, knowledgeable, patient and always go the all our cars. And Sport is the best dealership EVER. I would not trust a car with any other dealership under any circumstances whatsoever. Nor would I buy a car from any other dealership under any circumstances whatsoever. Automotive life would be considerably more difficult without these guys and gals, and my wife and I thank them sincerely. More
This is the worst dealership that I have ever worked with. They are incompetent in following through with scheduled appointments, less than adequate in communication with their customers; and short on with. They are incompetent in following through with scheduled appointments, less than adequate in communication with their customers; and short on having qualified technicians to sufficiently and expeditiously service cars. I have a 2016 SRX Cadillac and they have not been able to diagnose and address some mechanical issues I am having with my vehicle; albeit the issues are intermittent. Should you use them for anything beyond an oil change be informed that they will want to keep your car for several days for diagnostics. A scheduled pickup for service was totally disregarded. Had I not called into them, I would not have known that they did not have a certified technician available to diagnose my transmission, accelerator, or engine. They really should get out of the repair business. Maybe they are better with Chevrolets, but they are not ready for and out of their league for the world of Cadillacs. More

He was incredibly pleasant and helpful, and strikes me as a reasonable and trustworthy man. He refunded me the difference in what I paid versus the number I had been quoted. I am satisfied with that resolution, and while I paid more than I would have at the dealership versus going to a tire shop, that is to be expected and the amount was not as unreasonable as my initial bill. However, I cannot recommend doing business with Sport Chevrolet. While my experience with Gibbs was good, his service department still engages in unethical business practices by recommending unnecessary services at a 3-400% markup compared to independent shops. Specifically, I was told I needed a brake fluid flush for $400, despite my vehicle's service manual specifying I would not need one for several more years, and local shops charging between $100 and $150 for a flush. As mentioned above, I was also charged twice as much (over $500) as I was quoted ($230) for a single new tire and alignment. Gibbs refunded the difference (again, thank you), but I should not have needed to write these reviews to correct that. *Original review below* Untrustworthy. Brought my car in for a flat tire and was recommended to get an unnecessary service that was not only not necessary based on the vehicle maintenance schedule, but was also 4x the price of going to an auto body shop. I only had my car towed here (my car doesn't carry a spare) because it was the closest dealership to my house and Chevy roadside assistance only pays for a tow to a dealership. Next time, I'll use AAA and go somewhere that doesn't have the most sketchy, clichéd business practices and a markup of 2-3 times what I'd have paid going literally anywhere else. More
