First thing to remember is always be careful what you sign. It was my first time buying a car on my own, I was after a 2012 wrangler. They insisted on putting me in a 2007. I paid no cash was just gonna sign. It was my first time buying a car on my own, I was after a 2012 wrangler. They insisted on putting me in a 2007. I paid no cash was just gonna trade my mustang in. After going home and looking at the price I realized I had been ripped off. They gave me my car back but charged me 500 dollars for " services" done to it. After realizing it was actually dirtier i had a mechanic look at it. No service had been done. I returned to ask for a service invoice, I was very polite about it. Mo the general manager came outside while i was talking to another salesman and poked me in the chest. The sale aside that was wrong and uncalled for and as long that punk works there I will never be back. If you di decide to shop here be careful, they will take you for a ride, I would go somewhere else. More
After finding a car online, I called about it, everyone was very helpful. I let salesman know what my vehicle was, and what I would have to have to be able to trade. Again very helpful and they said "we ca was very helpful. I let salesman know what my vehicle was, and what I would have to have to be able to trade. Again very helpful and they said "we can get you where you need to be". So...I get off work to take my car there for them to look at. I know my car is a used vehicle and it has over 100,000 miles on it, but these people insulted me. The car I was trying to trade was a 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, I told them on the phone I needed at least $8000 to be able to trade, and after a 40 minute drive down there, they come back and offered $4000. I know its a piece of crap I bought a Chrysler product, blonde moment on my part, but I mean really $4000 for a vehicle I still owe $8000 on. I have never felt more insulted than I did there today. I did go down the road to Vic Bailey where they were willing to trade and give me the $8000, on the same type of vehicle! More
Was traveling thru on my way to Texas. Check engine lite came on.Panic set in.It was 3:45 PM on a Saturday and I pulled into the dealership.I saw the sign stating that they closed at 4:oo PM. Well,I was tre came on.Panic set in.It was 3:45 PM on a Saturday and I pulled into the dealership.I saw the sign stating that they closed at 4:oo PM. Well,I was treated like a person, not like someone that was keeping them working late on a Saturday!!! Nate was so nice and caring. He didn't me feel like he was rushing me in and out.He cared about me getting on the road safely. A man named JR came in the waiting room and let me know what was going on and the cost. Parts called someone and they opened the warehouse(not sure where that is,but they let me know it would take a few minutes.)A man named Justin came in and offered to get me something to eat and make sure all was ok. They replaced an o2 sensor. The bill was very reasonable and Justin gave me his number to text to let them know I got to Texas safely.By the way,it was 5:35 PM by the time I was done and they made me feel like I was the most important customer in the world.I will make a trip back thru Spartanburg to buy my next car and for any major service.Thank you folks. Things have changed for the better at Sptg CDJ and once I talked to David Cash and we thought about the vehicle we decided to go look at it. David was great to work with. He wasn't the "high" pressured "fa talked to David Cash and we thought about the vehicle we decided to go look at it. David was great to work with. He wasn't the "high" pressured "fake" salesman that we have dealt with at other dealerships. The other guys want you to feel like they can move mountains, and are usually not able to after spending many hours with them. David didn't try to sell us something we didn't want or that we couldn't afford. He was able to get us into what we wanted. Of course you always want a better price, but the price we got was good. We also were glad that it didn't take 6 to 8 hours to get everything done. It only took a couple of hours to get things worked out. More
Brian helped us right away. He got an idea of what we were looking for and began giving us price estimates and what he could do for us. I was in the market for a used vehicle, I had visited at least 15 dealerships in the last 2 weeks....This was the only dealership that had not detailed their used inventory. I couldn't believe the condition least 15 dealerships in the last 2 weeks....This was the only dealership that had not detailed their used inventory. I couldn't believe the condition of some of the used vehicles. Staff was not helpful on the features or pricing of the vehicle I inquired about. Very unprofessional....lack of knowledge was unbelievably substandard to any of the other dealerships I have visited in the last few weeks. I had some interest in a particular vehicle, but the sales "consultant" couldn't answer basic questions about the vehicle's features (which was a used CHRYSLER). When we inquired about pricing he quoted us $1000.00 more than the vehicle was listed for on their website. I guess they thought I was an uneducated fool, but little to their knowledge, I have conducted lots of research and was very educated in the vehicle I was seeking. I was shocked at the total lack of customer service and willingness to earn my business at this dealership. I read other negative reviews and decided to form my own opinion, that is why I visited. I will not be visiting this dealership again and I will advise others to not visit as well. The customer service experience turned me off so much, that I settled on my second choice at another dealer (where my business was greatly appreciated). If you want a personalized buying experience where you feel appreciated, this is NOT the dealership for you. More
I visited Spartanburg Dodge, Chryler Jeep a couple of years ago about a USED Dodge Charger. I was upfront and honest about my credit history which wasn't too good at the time. Of course with all salesp years ago about a USED Dodge Charger. I was upfront and honest about my credit history which wasn't too good at the time. Of course with all salespeople, they ask you about a payment you want to be at. I knew what I wanted to pay for a vehicle and not the payment! My credit of course came back with a high interest rate as expected. Therefore, I was told I could not get into the used vehicle but they wanted to show me the PERFECT car for me. I walked outside and her comes the salesperson in a brand new Charger. I looked at the sticker price and then asked about the payment...$500+...ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? That was not what I came looking for and it was quite ridiculous! They did not listen to what I wanted, it was about what they wanted and a sale! To xxxx with me the customer!!! I've never gone back to them since! I actually purchased my vehicle from a Dodge dealer in Greenville and it was worth the drive for me since I found someone that cared about what me, the customer, really wanted!! So a couple of days ago, I get a thing in the mail from Spartanburg Dodge. It was a "National Auto Clearinghouse" sweepstakes. It had several areas for you to scratch off to see if you're a winner. WEll, guess what? I'm a winner! SUPPOSEDLY, if you get the same number in a row (diagonally, straight accross or up & down) you win...WRONG!! I found out it's just a ploy to get you into their dealership! I want nothing Spartanburg Dodge has, trust me!! I will continue to take my business to Greenville! And too bad for Spartanburg Dodge because I'm currently looking at the 4-door Jeep Wranglers! I had a 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser that had 245,000 miles on it and I love the dodge/chrysler products. But Spartanburg Dodge leaves a lot to be desired!!! Lousy, lousy dealership and people! More
