Should have trusted my instinct. I really wanted to give a good review. In light of the dealers inability to communicate after the purchase. I've changed my mind. I called the dealer I really wanted to give a good review. In light of the dealers inability to communicate after the purchase. I've changed my mind. I called the dealer first to make sure the vehicle I wanted to look at was still in stock, a Kia Forte. Russel was pleasant on the phone. It was in stock still. So I made the 2 hour drive to check it out. Upon getting there, however, the car had some bad issues going to get gas. So the Kia was out of the question. Have no fear, Russel has a back up plan. In comes the Hyundai Accent. Very similar to the Kia Forte. Lacking a few features from the Kia, overall seemed ok. This review isn't about the car though. Has a sticker on the windshield that claims "certificate of inspection". This inspection includes engine, drivetrain, brakes and tires, steering, cooling, belts and hoses, a/c, and electrical. Russel was quick to put me in the seat to drive it. Pile in, and get moving. Not even a mile out of the lot, the left front inner wheel splash shield was rubbing on the wheel. Clips were missing. It was like that when the car was traded in. You could tell by the melted silouette. Drove back to the dealer. Had him get a tech to remove it and try again. Didn't really remove it. Just cut out the hanging piece. Still rubbed making sharp left turns. But car handled well, tire psi light was on. In the car fax. This is one of the things they checked. Get back. I requested to get the tires aired up. Light goes out. Now the money game. The Kia Forte was like 7,000. This car is 9,000. Russel kept insisting. "Well your payments will be the same. You'll just have to pay a year longer". I didn't really want to do that, but this car had 41,000 miles on it, the Kia had 100,000 miles. He said he would take $500 off the price for the hassle. I wanted lower but he wouldn't budge. So fine he did some checks and came back said he couldn't do $500 but he could do $300. Because, you know, screw customer service, I'm about mass profit. He acted like they had a lot invested in the car. Eventually, I agreed. Finished the paperwork, and drove home. As I was just about home the tire light was back on. I checked the tire pressures right rear was 12psi low. Aired it up. Had work a couple days later. On my way home the tire light was back on and then before I got home the tire light flashed. Note my trip to and from work is much shorter than the trip back home from the dealer. The tire is flat. No spare tire (should have checked at the dealership). Limped it home. Pulled the wheel off. Aired it up. And started looking for leaks. Found the valve stem cracked. It would leak really bad one way and not so much another way. Tire itself still ok. I called Russel in the morning to see if he would be able to help. I really at this point don't want the car, who knows what else they did or did not do. I'm in a position that I just signed up for a not 8700 dollar car and already has issues that the dealer couldn't be bothered with to fix or tell me about til I found them myself. I've bought cars for a $1000 dollars that are more reliable out the gate. Russel said he would talk with his boss and get back to me. I waited 24 hours and no response. I called back. A lady answered the phone. Tried paging him several times. No answer, and left him a message. It's now been a week since my first attempt at contacting with no response. So no, Mr. Gaby. You will not get that 5 star you wanted. Your smoke and mirrors and jokes won to get me in the car, and you'll get your money, but you will not get your 5 star from me, and I hope a lot of people see my message. The service here is a joke if they cant take care of a couple little things, and can't be bothered to get back with their customers. Learn from my mistakes and stay away. More
