I purchased my second car from you and was hopeful it would be as great an experience as getting the 2022 CRv hybrid Touring but unfortunately was not to be. My salesperson Jason was good but after the first bit I was not pleased. I bought a used HRv with a little over 7000 miles and as the Carfax showed was originally sold thru the Southpoint dealership supposedly to a staff member. First issue was when reviewing the pricing offer sheet for the first time I noticed the inclusion of the approximate $1220 charge for the ceramic paint coating which, when I challenged its inclusion, I found had already been applied and paid for in the first sale and by trying to charge me again you were attempting to double charge me for the same service. A simple, sloppy, careless miss at best or, if I was a cynical person, an attempt to make a dishonest buck off me. Then, when accessing financing offers presented of the Honda site, the public advertising was for 3.9% for 60 months. I was told it was not for used cars but you had to read deep into the very small print in the bottom of the conditions to find this. All the big print only alluded to being available to those well qualified buyers with strong credit. Very poor positioning. Honda itself should be more upfront on this so they say “ for well qualified buyers and for New Car purchases only”. I went into the Financing/high pressure add-on auto protection phase telling the finance person I was not interested in any of the extended warranty elements I bought with the new CRv. However in deference to the finance person having to do his job I made myself late for meeting my wife to listen politely and in due course I sequentially declined the offerings as I had indicted immediately upon entering his office I would do. Unfortunately this process took quite a while and despite my repeated mention that we had to wrap this up as I was late it took a very long time. Too long considering my opening comment that I was not interested in them. Having said all this perhaps for me the worst part was the carelessness of the pre-delivery cleaning of the car. We found 4 trash items in the passenger door… a used makeup sponge, waste paper and a scrap piece of plastic and in the glove compartment in the black cloth envelope that has the instruction manuals in it the temp purchase certificate of the previous owner with some of their personal information. Totally unacceptable particularly as the vehicle has been supposedly for sale from Dec 2024 so there was plenty of time for a thorough clean and check… sloppy! I was told my certified used HRv has a lifetime power train warranty and not the 7/100,000 mile warranty, which was impactful in my final decision to buy this car.. I was shown a photocopy of this “warranty” but do not have a copy of that policy. I would appreciate having a copy of this sent to me. All in all the HRv has met my Honda expectations ( this is our 5th Honda in a row starting with a V6 Accord in 1998, to a 2012 and then a 2016 Civic , both of which we are still driving today, to the 2022 CRv hybrid touring, which we bought from you, and now the 2025 HRv…so I have Honda experience and this was by far the least satisfactory buying experience period! The only reason I gave 3 stars was for the car itself and for the attention Jason provided. I would appreciate a response from management on my concerns. Andy More
