First off Tazi was awesome and always is when I've visited in the past.... Now Dan the service manager on the other hand is a different story, i went to get a simple state inspection done on my 2020 N visited in the past.... Now Dan the service manager on the other hand is a different story, i went to get a simple state inspection done on my 2020 Nissan rouge, went in at 11am with NO cracked windshield and drove out two hours later WITH a cracked windshield, i didn't get a half a block away before i noticed it and once i did i immediately turned around and drove back to the dealership. i drove in calm and voiced my concern to a gentleman in the service center, first he said it was an impact crack and ran a pen to show me that it was, after telling him that it wasn't and showed him that there was no impact point i then asked to speak to the manager. that's when Dan came out after 10 mins or so and said that the crack had already been there, i explained that if it was already there i would have told them about it given that i was there for a stat inspection and i know that the windshield is a huge part of that. he said that he sent a video, which was sent to my husband's phone showing the crack was already there, but the video was heavily pixelated even at his own admission and there was no way you could see the crack. After showing me the video my next question was why wasn't i made aware of the crack cause clearly i had no idea it was there, and if i was i would again have told them about it because of the inspection, to which Dan replied " well do you expect us to tell the customer of every little issue? what if it was a tear in the seat cushion?" .... i honestly couldn't believe he said that and i replied " Yes of course i expect y'all to tell the customer of these types of issues ESPECIALLY when its dealing with a state inspection and something that could potentially fail it" after a ton of back and forth and being made like i was some problematic customer Dan asked what i expected him to do and i told him he needed to fix the issue he asked if i had insurance and made my husband look up the deductible after we showed it him it would cost us $500 he said he could find it cheaper and said he could cover half the cost of the replacement. we had to spend $230. even though i am grateful we didn't have to pay $500 i still don't appreciate how things were handled and DEFINITELY do not appreciate how we were spoken to, this issue was NOT of our doing and even if the crack was an "'existing one" the issue still lies that WE WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF IT! had we been made aware of it we would have stopped the process and got it filled somehow for cheaper and just simply rescheduled the inspection. then we had to go back a second time because they didn't connect the front camera correctly which made our AEBs to not function properly. This whole situation just made me so discouraged and i do not feel safe anymore taking my vehicle back for any future service needs. i strongly suggest that your employees be instructed to make the customer aware of any issues/damages especially when dealing with state inspections before they proceed with one. also, i would like to add that there is a plastic piece that is also missing from the edge of where the windshield and car meet, but after being accused of being a liar about the crack i didn't even bother complaining about that because they wouldn't have taken me seriously.
