bought a car last year from hall nissan in NewportNews, about 4 months after i bought the car i took it back so they coud check my power sterring....at that time they informed me i had a leak and of course about 4 months after i bought the car i took it back so they coud check my power sterring....at that time they informed me i had a leak and of course the expensive warrenty i had bought would not cover the 400.00 fix....i imediatly took my car to my own personall mechanic who looked and confirmed the leak...showed me what they were talking ....well 8 months or so later i take my car to the chesapeke location for my inspection and they fail my inspection for the same leak only they tell me its going to be 1300.00 for the fix, i again imediatlt take my car to my personal mechinic who looks at it and again shows me the leak....funny...it hadnt changed any....which brings me to the conclusion that eathier hall sold me a car with saftey issues, they sold me a car that wont even pass their own inpection...eathier that or they are trying to scam money outta me....one thing i know is.....i have another 2 years till this car is paid off anf i will never do bussiness with these people again......i can over look the fact they didnt give me foor mats...or that they gave me my car with no gas....or the fact they didnt even clean it....but selling me a car with saftey issues is unacceptable...buyer beware More
Service Department is great. Never have a problem getting an appointment. They work quickly and have a nice waiting area. I was not impressed with the Sales Department though. My husband is looking for a new car and while I was waiting I went looking at cars on the show room floor. I got in them, looked at the sticker price, compared cars and looked for a brochure. Salesmen walked by me but no one approached to ask if I needed help. I assumed that meant we should go with our first choice of a Honda Accord. More
Service is always friendly, courteous and reasonably fast. Records seem to be well kept. I have always had a good experience on my visits! There are some good "perks" also, such as free inspections for all the automobiles you own, whether they are Nissan's or not. All in all, a good place to do business! More

I have visited Hall Nissan of Chesapeake twice for service and both times I came away frustrated and disappointed. The first time was for an "Express" oil change during which I waited for 2 hours in the lounge before asking what the problem was. I ended up having a nail in one of the tires, so I appreciated them finding that and taking care of it, but I did not appreciate being left in the dark while I waited, thinking I was still just getting an oil change. I ended up having to go home and come back the next day. On my drive home the next day I noticed that an "informative" and "courtesy" evaluation of my vehicle revealed a problem with my battery, but I was never "informed" of this problem while at the dealership and had to read it on my own on my receipt! I would have liked the "courtesy" of them telling me while I was there so I could have it fixed without coming back a second time. This last time I brought my vehicle in for service because the latch on my rear door was broken. They did not have the necessary parts (just bolts) to fix it and would not be able to get them until the following day. I was told I could leave the car there, drive it home with the door held together with a bungee cord, or pay for my own rental car. I was also treated as if I had caused the problem, instead of them taking responsibility for the car's failure and the fact that they had replaced that latch themselves a couple years before. More
