My experience as a first-time customer was very unpleasant. On Thursday (7/25), I scheduled an appointment for Friday (7/26) at 10:00 am. I dropped my vehicle off at 7:41 am on Friday (7/26) and ha unpleasant. On Thursday (7/25), I scheduled an appointment for Friday (7/26) at 10:00 am. I dropped my vehicle off at 7:41 am on Friday (7/26) and had to re-indicate what I wanted done. I expected the information I entered when scheduling my appointment would show up when checking in. I was told by the service associate that I would receive a text later that day. I called to find out the status of my vehicle, when I had not received anything, at 1:41 pm. The service associate stated that he hasn't heard from the technician yet, but the car is in the shop. He would get in contact with me after the technician returned from lunch. I waited for over an hour and called back at 2:53pm. The service associate stated that they haven't spoken with the technician yet. He mentioned he would find out what is going on and call me back in 20-30 min. I didn't receive a call back until 3:50pm. Only to be told that they need more time to get all the information for me, and they would contact me back in 5 min. I finally received a call at 3:57pm to be told that the ABS modulator needed to be replaced and brake lines flushed. I declined the repair and was told that the back breaks would need to be replaced and rotors machined (which was what I originally asked for, minus the location of which breaks were the issue, along with an oil change). The service associate said that the car would not be ready until the next day, even though I was originally given an estimated pickup time of 6:00pm the same day. The associate stated they would call me at noon on Saturday (7/27) to let me know the status of my car. I had to call at 12:20pm on Saturday because I had not heard from the associate. Only to find out that my car was done by that morning. I came and reviewed the paperwork. The associate asked if I was happy with their service and I replied that I wasn't because I had to hound him to get updates and that he didn't follow through with what he told me he would do. I was done with the entire process, received my paperwork, and paid for the services. The associate then proceeded to make the comment, "I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations." when handing me the keys. I drove my car from the service area to the front and asked for the manager. The general manager greeted me, and I proceeded to explain the situation above. He mentioned he would refund me the diagnostic fee because of the poor customer service I received. I have received that refund. However, based on this horrible experience as a first-time customer, I will not be coming back. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of the general manager’s effort to make things right. More
I recently made two visits to Southern Motors Honda because my air conditioner wasn’t working. On the first visit, they serviced my a.c. and added Freon. They also found a total of $4000+ things that t because my air conditioner wasn’t working. On the first visit, they serviced my a.c. and added Freon. They also found a total of $4000+ things that they said I needed which included a $1600 charge to replace my air conditioner control module. My a.c. still didn’t work so I took it back a second time. The technician said my a.c. wouldn’t work until I had my control module replaced. I replaced the module myself for under $100 in about 20 minutes. I took my car 4 hours away to my mechanic in Washington, GA and within 10 minutes, on his diagnostic machine, he found that my a.c. condenser coil needed to be replaced. The Honda place charged more than $300 to have three lug nuts replaced. My mechanic said he would have charged between $100-$125 for this repair. My mechanic looked for the other things the Honda mechanic said I needed and did not see that any other repairs were necessary. I am afraid this is standard operating procedure when you take your vehicle to this service department (and maybe all Honda service departments) and it is unconscionable in my mind to do this to unsuspecting customers. They say things need to be fixed that don’t and they charge huge amounts for the repairs they do - $190/hour labor. I will not return to this service department. More

Even once Insurance released the funds so they could start working on the car (this was on August 16,2022). They claimed it took a very long time to get parts in and the last one wouldn't come in till October 6th (this was Daryll). I call for an update after OCT 6th and let me tell you, I called once every day, left messages, never got a call back. Then, some lady finally talked to me and claimed they needed money for another part, a fried computer. (Strange, did they not know this on august 16th?). She said they sent a supplemental request to the insurance company. I call the insurance company two days in a row. The second time, the insurance agent called the Southern motors service department, what do you know? It is now in the hands of the manager who I think she said was Matt. But, he couldn't talk because he was busy. I called him later and left a message. Sure, enough no reply. This service is DISGUSTING! I was going to try to sell my car and get a new one but it DEFINITELY will not be at this dealership or any associated one. Also, I did have a huge wait time when I last got my oil change done by them. I had a reservation but apparently that didn't matter. I wrote a review about this and someone contacted me to remove it. More

I took my car to the Southern Motors service department and Received immediate attention from Yuri Rolfe. Tire pressure was checked and a maintenance check was done to make sure everything was OK. Lack of credibility I bought my car and have always been serviced at SMH. More than yr ago I reported issues with battery and it came out "OK". Well yesterday was enough and I decided to change the battery with them regardless the usual "OK"; called the service manager to talk about the issue, no call back... called service at 4:28 pm and they gave me a 7:00 am appointment... to figure out this morning that they open at 7:30 am... while waiting, the service rep (she helped me a lot, great person) came to me and finally the car was dead in front of them and of course was the battery... a $140 fix that I was more than willing to pay more than a year ago became to be five times more... no credibility...
