Mark was a wonderful salesperson who was very helpful and easy to deal with in the purchase of our new Suburban. We will definitely contact Mark next time we are in need of another vehicle. Mark even stayed late on a Monday night, so that my husband would not have to miss work the next day. We really appreciate his kindness! Thanks! More
Went to this dealer with my daughter to for purchasing a used car. The salesman gave us this great pitch about all the xxxxxxof the dealership. How they will not try and contact you if you leave without b used car. The salesman gave us this great pitch about all the xxxxxxof the dealership. How they will not try and contact you if you leave without buying a car and they will find you the car you want. Went through an interview that lasted about 30 to 45 minutes. He repeatedly re-asked questions that I refused to answer because they were not pertinent to the transaction. I gave him a max amount of money that we were willing to spend. He showed my daughter several cars that met a majority of her requirements. She settled on one car and he went to talk with his sales manager to come back with an offer. The offer he brought back was 12.5% above the max I had set. During the question and answer session, the Salesman repeatedly informed us that he would not repeatedly call us after we left. It has been almost 5 weeks now and not a week goes by that we do not have a message on the answering machine when we get home from work from this dealership and particular salesman. The first week after we left the phone calls were daily. My wife talked to him at the beginning and told him that we were not interested in his dealership anymore. That seems to me to pretty straight forward and not an open invitation to continue calling and basically harassing my family. I am fairly confident that this post will not make it on the website since it is a negative comment on the dealer. It may be the salesman or it may be the practice of the dealership, either way they will never receive my business or referrals. V/R, DGG Chesapeake, VA More
I was the proud owner of a 2003 VW Passat GLX V-6 Wagon. Fully loaded. Excellent vehicle with excellent service by the dealership. However, after 7 years, I was ready to make a change and started looking Fully loaded. Excellent vehicle with excellent service by the dealership. However, after 7 years, I was ready to make a change and started looking at the various SUV's in early Feb. I drove many a vehicle and none seem to fit exactly what I was looking for .... until one Sunday afternoon when my husband convinced me to drive into the Hall Chevrolet dealership on Western Branch Blvd. and to drive the Equinox. I was horrified at the thought of setting foot on GM property since I was raised in Detroit and my father had been an engineer with Ford Motor Co. for over 43 years. In addition, several members of my immediate family were Ford employees. However, I decided to give it a try. As we started walking around, "AJ" greeted us. He informed us that the last Equinox had just been sold the day before. He then steered us toward the new Traverse. I test drove the vehicle and "that was it." What a driving machine! It is awesome! I like the height and comfort of the seats, the spaciousness, the smooth drive, all of the interior "bells and whistles," the size, and the sophistication. Instead of purchasing the vehicle, we decided to lease it. The entire process of leasing our vehicle was the best experience we have ever had at a dealership. There was absolutely no pressure, no gimmicks, no back & forth about pricing, no bickering, etc. "AJ" was great and extremely knowledgable not only about the Traverse but all of the GM products at Hall Chevrolet. In addition, it was a pleasure to meet and work with Mike, Roger, and Melinda. Once again, it was the best car buying experience we have ever had. In closing, I did drive an Equinox. However, after driving the Traverse, that was the vehicle for me. M.Turner Suffolk, VA. More
After going to this dealership with my fiance to help her buy a new car, I must say this is the best experience I have ever had in an auto dealership. The team there was not pushy, Shannon was very friendly buy a new car, I must say this is the best experience I have ever had in an auto dealership. The team there was not pushy, Shannon was very friendly and helped us with the initial contact and test drive. AJ (who my fiance says reminds her of Katt Williams), the floor manager, was the nicest salesman I have ever dealt with. He bent over backwards to help us out. He kept us calm when we were struggling to get insurance and made sure everything was good, even recommended an agent for us. When I go to buy a car, I will go to AJ instantly. Roger, the manager, was extremely helpful and kept checking on us to make sure everything was going well. Most managers I have dealt with do not come near the sale, but he was involved with the customers and helped out immensely. Melinda and Mike helped us with the financing. They were both very personable and did not pressure us into any extra packages, but simply informed us about them. This is the second time I have dealt with hall, the first being when my mother bought a car from hall honda in virginia beach. While both experiences have been pleasurable, I feel that Hall Chevrolet is simply one of, if not the, best dealership in hampton roads. There we felt like family, not a number. More
I was satisified with Hall Chevrolet b/c of the excellent customer service I experienced. Great customer service equals happy customer, and I left there definitely a happy customer. I was at the dealership customer service I experienced. Great customer service equals happy customer, and I left there definitely a happy customer. I was at the dealership the majority of the day, and Tracey was very patient with me and all my indecisiveness. My biggest pet peeve are pushy car salesman. I completely understand why they are that way, but I cannot stand it; however, I really liked Tracey's style compared to most. He is a salesman, and he did his job well, but he didn't push me to the point where I wanted to walk out the door. He made me feel comfortable from the beginning. He answered all my questions in detail, and he was able to negotiate a deal I felt was very fair. When the serviceman parked the car in front of the doors, Tracey immediately stood up and let me know he was going to fill the car with fuel for me, and I like that I didn't even have to ask. It really showed me Hall Chevrolet values their customers. More

Call the main # and the person said we started closing @ 7pm for almost a year now. I thought, Wow! the USPS is slow.I called 3hrs later to ask for the mech's name who failed my inspection for"101138 water intrusion" on the right fr parking lamp. The lamp was still working. Last year and its documented it was in the same condition the lamp was still working and the truck passed inspec, but this time the SI noticed a water line, the lamp was still working but it failed. OK, it might have blown a fuse in the futher but thats NO reason to fail a SI. Hall seems to DISTANCE there selves from what ever the SI opinion is. but if it brings more resources to GMC then Hall looks good. Idid not see the SI's name on my 161$$$ invioce but this # keeps coming up 1144ISP,1144CCR. I personely observerd the SI walk to the vending mach to brack with my vec in the stall.(once) Please brack IN BETWEEN vec our do not let the customers witeness. Great experience as far as buying a car goes...the marketing add on stuff after the car price is agreed to is ridiculous. If I tell a finance guy or manager I'm NOT interested in some crap extended wa marketing add on stuff after the car price is agreed to is ridiculous. If I tell a finance guy or manager I'm NOT interested in some crap extended warranty or super slick latest polymer paint coating, LoJack, blah, blah, blah. Then Stop right there once I make it know I am not interested in all the "great" deals you are offering me. I am 40 something years old, I know what I really need or don't need. Otherwise, great dealership, great salesman. Mike M the internet sales manager was very personable and pleasant to work with the entire time. Good Job! William More
Personnel were very friendly and went out of their way to help us look at 3 different used vehicles. After we settled on one, the deal was put together quickly and fairly for both parties. It was a peaceful experience that was rewarded with the purchase of a Chevy Impala and a Silverado. The sales associates were great to work with and the finance manager is truly looking out for the custom purchase of a Chevy Impala and a Silverado. The sales associates were great to work with and the finance manager is truly looking out for the customer. This has been the smoothest process I have every had the pleasure of when it comes to purchasing an automobile. I highly recommend that if anyone wants to buy a new car with no hassle or pressure and come away with feeling that they were truly taken care of then Hall Chevrolet is the place. More
