I called the day before to ask if I had a warranty on a battery and I was told I did and to just bring it in. I brought my car in and after they ran the test on the battery they called to tell me, oh it's battery and I was told I did and to just bring it in. I brought my car in and after they ran the test on the battery they called to tell me, oh it's actually not under warranty after they told me it already was. I said okay I'll just pick my car up from you all and go get a battery somewhere. They then told me that I need to pay $135 for the fee to test the battery. I told them you told me it was under warranty to bring it here, ran the test then told me it wasn't under warranty. So I don't feel it's fair that I need to pay that $135. I was then told not to worry about the $135 and to just come pick up the car when I come to pick up the car. T I'll call her, the service director for southern GMC had my car held hostage and was saying that I needed to pay the $135 after I was already told I did not.(I guess she felt she needed to use what power she has when she can) I asked to speak with her and she would not come out to speak with me. This is typical when someone knows the are wrong. She had someone else relay this message to me. After reading more into my paperwork I noticed that I had the warranty for the battery in my hand. I then gave that to them and they went to the back to give that to T since she wouldn't come out of her office. She then sent her people back to tell me that, well when we handed the battery into the battery company they came back and said they didn't want to put the battery under warranty so there's no warranty on it. I asked them why nobody contacted me to let me know this and they said they don't know. That's a completely different story than they told me when I was on the phone about why there wasn't a warranty on it. It seems they couldn't make up their mind on why it didn't have a warranty. T then said she will not release my car unless I pay the $135 fee. More
Called Fred earlier this week in distress because my vehicle wouldn’t turn over, he assisted me in getting vehicle back to the lot and fixed for immediate pickup! If he had checked the year and color of vehicle, he would have caught the mistake. There were two people named Brown servicing Acadia's that day. Once they sell you the vehicle, do not expect good service. They rarely answer the phone. Customer service is extremely poor. Called many times in one day. No call back. No answer. We were offered snacks, hot coffee, and other beverages while we waited, and our vehicle was ready much sooner than expected. R.T. suggested a complete fuel system maintenance, which we did. When the work was finished, the paperwork took only minutes to complete and the SUV was brought around for us. During this short time that we waited for service repairs on our Sorrento, we visited the Sales Department, met with T. J. Catafio, took a test drive, and purchased a 2018 Kia Niro.
