Nothing but liars and thieves I like Hyundai as a brand but will never buy another one because of this dealership. I traded my '12 sonata for a '15 sonata turbo and was promised th I like Hyundai as a brand but will never buy another one because of this dealership. I traded my '12 sonata for a '15 sonata turbo and was promised the world but even before I picked it up there were nothing but problems! And through the 3 year lease any problem I had was met with lies and BS from the service department! The service manager was more interested in taking care of her kid than helping customers. Totally unprofessional. Not to mention lying about ordering parts and dented and scratching the car when they worked on it! And a worker stole a keychain I had hanging from my radio knob that was given to me by my nephew that was fighting cancer.....when I told them about it they said it wasn't them!!! (It was there when I dropped it off). Ultimately a horrible place. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! More

Service Department Went to South Shore Hyundai for my routine maintenance I was very impressed with everyone I was warmly greeted from the moment I walked in Josephine Went to South Shore Hyundai for my routine maintenance I was very impressed with everyone I was warmly greeted from the moment I walked in Josephine was the person that checked me in and she explained everything to me I waited in a very nice waiting area where there was a nice big TV nice chairs coffee tea bottle waters which all of this was told to me by Josephine would be downstairs I was sitting there when another lady Christine brought down bagels which I thought was so nice Josephine came down and went over the multipoint inspection on my car that the mechanic said was needed for I could not be more happier and appreciative of the kind and professional service that was given to me Thank you so much Josephine!!! And thank you Christine for the bagels!!! Great Job South Shore Hyundai!!! I will definitely be back to service my car and to see Josephine!!! More

Outstanding Customer Service I live on the south shore and had been intending to check out this dealership for routine service to my Santa Fe -- but my car moved up the timetable! I live on the south shore and had been intending to check out this dealership for routine service to my Santa Fe -- but my car moved up the timetable! The check engine light went on and it was really bad timing. I called South Shore Hyundai on the chance I could get a quick appointment and I'm super lucky because I got connected to manager Lulu Hoppe. I dropped off my car that evening and it was ready the next day, under warranty. It took one more visit to straighten out the issues but Jamaine Butler in the service department was great keeping me informed, and Lulu went above and beyond in monitoring the situation and making the experience easy for me. It was truly A+ Customer Service and I feel confident I will encounter that again on future visits. Thank you, Lulu, I really appreciate your efforts in welcoming a new customer! More
Amazing cooperation from even higher ups Very recently I had to make use of an "outside" [not orig. from the dealer or manufacturer] warranty issue. It was a $350 issue for me. After the serv Very recently I had to make use of an "outside" [not orig. from the dealer or manufacturer] warranty issue. It was a $350 issue for me. After the service adviser could not circumvent the warranty co.'s rules, she (Josephine (what a God-send, she is] immediately up-scaled it to the General Manager, Dino. A Gen. Mgr is always very busy and runs the entire dealership in Sales, Service, Parts and anything else, including policy. He could've easily disregarded a remedy [it was a date-issue] and raise his hands that he couldn't help. He (Dino} did. He stopped what his normal business is, and went to work for me and made everything right away. The entire wire of employees, from the Salesman (Mitch), Bus. Mgr (since moved) service advisor, Josephine thru Dino the GM.; their way of doing things, are a bench-mark for Customer service, from their people, including their physical structure of customer-related services. I've sold cars for about 25 years at many different dealerships as well as leasing my cars for longer. I've never worked for, or was a customer of a dealership, with so much to offer to make any situation completely customer-orientated. Next time I lease a car, even if in 2 1/2 years, there may be a better choice in manufacturer and/or dealership "price", I couldn;'t see doing business with ANYONE else, other than South Shore Hyundai, whose GM is Dino (very stand-up guy] Josephine [completely dedicated to "true" customer service, Gene: the Mgr who handled the deal and the Salesman, Mitch, who's a good man and good professional and a GREAT help with my initial inquiries and concerns. OBVIOUSLY, I can't say enough good things about them. What a great surprise/blessing when I chose this dealership. More

Women BE AWARE, never get repairs done for your car without a male present. They took advantage of me! WOMEN BE AWARE! I call the twice to have the manager give me a call and NO ONE HAS CALL ME!!! No call back from service department I purchased a Genesis a few months ago. I noticed that if there is a bump in the road while you are making a right turn you lose the ability to accel I purchased a Genesis a few months ago. I noticed that if there is a bump in the road while you are making a right turn you lose the ability to accelerate for a few seconds (very dangerous when you are making a right turn onto a busy street). More than a month ago, I was told by the service manager that Hyundai was aware of the problem and that they had just released a software update to another model with the same problem (I was told that it had to do with poorly designed software that controls the vehicle stabilization unit) and that there would be a fix for the Genesis in 4-6 weeks and that the dealer would contact me when it was available. I have not heard back from the dealer since then. I have called twice in the last two days and was told that the service department would call me back. I have yet to hear back from them and am forced to live with a car that can lose all power when making a right turn. More
