Chris Assmar went out of his way to assist me with paperwork that I needed to claim my insurance payment. He also personally handled the purchase of my new Elantra giving me a great price with a no hassle purchase. He made me feel that he cared about me and did all he could to make my purchase easy and comfortable. I would definitely reccomend purchasing your new Hyundai from South Shore Hyundai. More

Refuses to address complaints I just purchased a brand new 2013 Hyundai Genesis from Plaza Hyundai in Brooklyn because they simply had the best prices. I went in to the South Shore I just purchased a brand new 2013 Hyundai Genesis from Plaza Hyundai in Brooklyn because they simply had the best prices. I went in to the South Shore Hyundai and asked if they could install the wind deflector that the dealer forgot to install. Car has 100 miles on it. They said they would have to charge me a minimum of $65 to install!. unless it was broken it was not under warranty. the next issue i came in with was that when speaking on the cars bluetooth, nobody could hear me clearly. I spoke with Hyundai USA who advised me that there is definitely an issue with the microphone and that it is not all that uncommon. I brough the car in to South Shore Hyundai and after waiting 45 minutes I was told by Brandon Troy that the technician found nothing wrong. I was very insistent that there was absolutely an issue as no one could hear me. Brandon requested i call him in the dealership. when he had a hard time hearing me he gave the following excuses: (1) I'm in and office with a lot of background noise. (2) you're not speaking loud enough. (3)you're speaking too loud. (4) The Technician found no problem so regardless of what you claim, there is no problem. what appears to be happening is that because i didn't purchase this vehicle thru South Shore Hyundai, they will do everything they can possibly do to not service the vehicle or if they have to, to charge me for it. I am utterly amazed that they would behave in this manner. For Hyundai to Claim "Americas Best Warranty" and then give me the around is unconscionable. More

I appreciated the service and the patience that Rashawn has shown towards me and my family, since this is my first car i feel good that i left the dealership feeling like a new owner, not like i made a deal with the devil. i will recommend Rashawn and the south shore dealership to everybody that is looking for a car in the future. thank you Guys. Excellent customer service I went in with a noise when turning my 2012 Sonata and was greeted by Anthony who was exceptionally helpful from start to finish. They found the problem quickly and was happy to find out it was covered by my warranty. They also found a nail in my tire which saved me the grief of coming out one morning finding my tire was flat. sucked all the fun away I would not recommend this place to anybody. Rashawn was rude and pushy. He gave me a lot of wrong information on the vehicle. Also the dealership tried to sneak almost $2000 in fees and of course when I said something they were waived. When my wife asked a question about the fees he gave her the runaround and she told him to just answer the question and he responded extremely rudely.the only reason I followed through with my purchase was the fact it was the best price for my budget.if I had more options I would have walked out very fast. All and all the car is what I wanted minus the wrong info I was given. My advice is if you got options just skip this place or if u get Rashawn ask for someone else, he truly ruined the moment of getting a new car. More
We were fortunate to deal with Eric Whitehead. Eric provided quality cutomer service. He knows his products but isn't pushy where you fell like your getting the "hard sell" which is a real turnoff. I hate buying cars but I must say that the whole experience at South Shore Hyundai was great from the moment we walked in until we drove off the lot in our new car. I will be going back and looking for Eric when it is time to get our next vehicle. More
After having been in touch with this dealer (South Shore Hyundai) via email - discussing detailed information about a specific vehicle (down to the VIN), went down take a test drive 2/17/14. I was specifically shopping for an Elantra 4dr Auto Sport. I was introduced to Rob and ask to see this vehicle. First, he told me there is no such model and tried to point me to a GL - not the model I'm interested. I pulled up the email trail and gave him their dealership's description (including "Sport" in the title) and the VIN of the car in question. He tried to pass off his ignorance that this was a brand new trim (yes new for 2014 - so its been on sale for 8 months now). He went back to the "inventory" manager and returned to tell me that that car has not shipped from the factory yet. In fact, no 2014 "Sports" are available yet. I questioned this since again this is a 2014 model - on sale since the summer, and I had a price quote - and he responded in a very derogatory manner that they can quote any vehicle - regardless of whether its on their lot or not. All of the above statements from Rob were untrue. The rep I had been emailing, sent back a note of apology later in the day for the "confusion." And that the vehicle we were discussing was there and I should come back for a test drive. Rob's manner and tactics were insulting and I feel he treated me as if I didn't know what I wanted since I was a woman car shopping alone. I will not be using this dealership and do not recommend it based on the treatment I received. I have since visited other dealers who do have the Sport and will be making a decision on my purchase shortly. More
