Currently in the process of selling the car and the car fax is coming up with a prior accident with airbags deployed and damage. Spoke with Patrick Reagan at South Coast Mitsubishi today and he informed me that the carfax must be wrong and hung up on me!! I even have emails from the purchase process where he assured me the vehicle had no accident history! This is one for my attorney! More
Sold them my car on Saturday and was told my check would be ready Tuesday. I never got a call so called on Tuesday. They said try Wednesday. Called Wednesday and was told to come in by 12 for my check. Came be ready Tuesday. I never got a call so called on Tuesday. They said try Wednesday. Called Wednesday and was told to come in by 12 for my check. Came in and still no check. They said I had to see the GM who wasn’t there. They wouldn’t give me his name or when he’d be in. I’m still try to get paid and filed a complaint with BBB. I’ll be filing a civil suit next. STAY AWAY More
WE are not going back to purchase our car ever again from this place. We purchased a new electric vehicle that was eligible for the state rebate that needs to be claimed through the dealer. They were registered with the state website for this rebate. At the time of the purchase, we asked about the rebates and were told oh you can fill them out by yourself. When we found out that this particular rebate should be filled out by this dealer, they denied that they know anything about this. We made a couple of visits and multiple phone calls. They never called back. The manager seems to be extremely not friendly, not helpful and rude and so the finance guy. They told us that they do not honor this refund. If you do not honor the state refund, get yourself off of the state rebate page. Also, there is a friendly way to tell that they do not honor. We tried calling so many times to get the info but no one called us back. Every time they told us they will look and call back. That did not happen. Also at the time of the purchase, we asked about a certain fee which we were not sure about, and the finance guy and the manager shouted at us instead of trying to explain what the charger was related to. The sales guy Kevin is a nice guy who we dealt with. However, the manager and the finance guys seem to be unprofessional, unfriendly, and rude. There are better dealers around. Be aware. More

I don't know where to start. Trying to buy a car from them, out of state. We did all the heavy lifting, secured a loan even had someone local test drive it for us. The dealership has extremely bad customer service. Very rude and unresponsive. When it came time to get the deal done, James sent us forms specifically stating that the car was damaged prior to them getting it (carfax states no damage) and that the odometer is inaccurate and more statements of this nature. When I asked about the form, he said we need to sign the form or the deal is off. He would not tell me why these statements are even on the form. Just said it's their policy. Next, the interest rate showed 9+%.. We were approved from our bank for 1.9% .. Got some really strange reason for the paperwork showing 9%. Said once we pay them , we can work with our bank.. Honestly couldn't make sense of it. And it's a contract that we are required to sign.... James was very rude about the whole thing. We, of course backed out. VERY SLEAZY DEALERSHIP More

I feel comfortable talking with them I'm writing in response to so many negative reviews. Normally, I only write a review when I feel I've been burned. I think that's what's happening in these reviews and SCM is not getting a fair shake. I've been to plenty of car dealerships. In general, they feel scummy to me I'm giving a 5 star rating because I trust them. Not "more than other dealers", I trust them. They've never lied to me. They didn't massage my feet, but they did give me free hot chocolate. It wasn't great, but my kids loved it. When I bought, they did the usual back-and-forth sales-rep-to-manager trips when I haggled the price. The sales people and service reps are ethical; they do not bait and switch and they stick to their word. I saw some complaints from Tesla shoppers. I've researched Tesla pricing and am appalled by how well they hold their value: far better than any other EV I've bought, which includes a Volt, Bolt and 2 Priuses. The reviews seem to me like buyers disappointed that they didn't get a good price on a Telsa when logically a Tesla price should drop by "purchase incentive rebate" plus annual devaluation. The problem is they just don't devalue like that -- they hold their value far too well. I'm considering buying a used Tesla and I'm only considering two sources: Tesla itself and SCM. The reason is the same for both; I expect them to not hide defects and I expect they will honor the warranty. Again, this is a reason for the 5-star rating. I've bought used vehicles from dealers who did not disclose issues; South Coast Mitsubishi is not one of those places. More
I came in to buy a Tesla from these guys and let me tell you it was the most humiliating experience I've ever had buying a car. After two hours of waiting and going back and forth with the Sales Rep and his you it was the most humiliating experience I've ever had buying a car. After two hours of waiting and going back and forth with the Sales Rep and his manager we finally came to a deal. After we agreed on pricing and the trade in value of my car, I gave them the OK to run my credit. After a few minutes the "finance manager" came over and brought me over to his office. Shortly after, I asked about the details of the loan etc. I come to find that both the trade in and price of the car are completely no where near what we agreed on. Of course I became upset and asked to speak with the sales rep and I confronted him and he just couldn't really come to words to what happened. It was obvious that I was completely LIED to! The finance manager basically told me that there is no way they could match what we originally negotiated with the sales rep. In other words they wasted my time and got me to run my credit on a deal that I was totally mislead on. The finance manager later told me that this isn't the first time that this particular sales rep had lied to people and he has done it at least five times... This is completely unacceptable to do this to people. They wasted my time and dinged my credit over a complete lie. I'm completely shocked that these kinds of business practices like this still happen. Just stay away from this place and buy a car elsewhere that has some sort of business ethics. UPDATE: The same finance Manager just called me to try to fix the situation. I thought he was going to call me and honor the same pricing I was TOLD I was getting from the sales rep that lied to me AT LEAST to make things right, but instead he just called and offered me a slight adjustment which is no where near what I was originally told I would be getting. This dealership still insists on doing the wrong thing. It's disappointing to say the least... More
