On April 4th, 2013, I was sold a 2000 Land Rover Discovery by Big Red Sports and Imports in Norman, Oklahoma after my 2001 Chevy Cavalier blew a rod after 8 years of ownership. I was saving for coll Discovery by Big Red Sports and Imports in Norman, Oklahoma after my 2001 Chevy Cavalier blew a rod after 8 years of ownership. I was saving for college and couldn't afford a vehicle so when I found the Land Rover for $5000 I thought it would be an incredible deal. The worth of the vehicle on NADA was less than $2500 but unfortunately I did not know this till after purchase. I paid $4000 cash plus my Cavalier. During the transaction I was told it was looked over by the dealership and it was in great shape and it ran fantastic. During the test drive I noticed no problems. But the next day after I bought the vehicle on my way home the transmission exploded during 5 o'clock traffic. The cabin filled with smoke, and I dangerously pulled over crossing an entire lane. The transmission had imploded, I took photos and video and had the vehicle towed back to the dealership and demanded a refund. They informed me that I bought it as in so they couldn't refund me. I told them they lied to me about the vehicle to which the sales manager told me that it was a whole-sale vehicle, it hadn't been inspected, and my salesman shouldn't have told me that it was in good shape. After 4 days of them telling me they would take care of it, they informed me it was my fault because I hit an object while driving so hard that it punctured the transmission pan causing the implosion and it was entirely my fault and they wouldn't help whatsoever. Video and photo proof proves this is a lie, the outside of the pan is completely clean, not even a scratch. They refused to speak to me and kicked me out of their dealership when I arrived to confront them about their lies. I am no out of a vehicle, out $4000 of my college savings, and need at least another $5000 to take them to court. I have sufficient evidence, witnesses, and advice to safely win the case but unfortunately can't afford it. I'm really trying to expose what a horrendous ordeal this is to the public about the dangers of buying a used car and expose Big Red for what a terrible dealership they are. More
I saw an online ad for a 2012 Hyundai Sonata. The price listed looked excellent and the online chat person seemed nice enough. The Carfax looked clean and the pictures looked excellent. After driving from listed looked excellent and the online chat person seemed nice enough. The Carfax looked clean and the pictures looked excellent. After driving from Tulsa to Norman my visited went downhill in a hurry. The salesman seemed as if he didn't even know what car I was referring to when I told him the make, model, year, mileage, and price... If I was a salesman I would know my inventory...... well he finally told us to step outside and view the car... major hail damage... and whoever tried to paint the hood must have never painted anything before in his life... it was a pathetic job.... Needless to say I quickly asked my wife to follow me and we left as the salesman was trying to convince me that the information was disclosed on the ad.... so I went back online to their website to verify.... not one mention of a hail sale.... not one word on the internet ad about the damage... oh yes, the salesman also told me that they had plenty more damaged cars to sell. The experience here was absolutely horrible and I will never visit this place again.... in fact if that is the way Kia dealerships operate will never visit one of those again either. More
In a nutshell, they sold me a car which many models of had recalled parts which were not disclosed. My car stalled out in a street where I was nearly hit by failure of that same exact part. The car also h had recalled parts which were not disclosed. My car stalled out in a street where I was nearly hit by failure of that same exact part. The car also had hail damage that was not disclosed which I think may be ILLEGAL in the state of Oklahoma. I'm short so I didn't notice the hail damage until the dealership i traded it in at pulled it up to a curb I could stand on and showed me the roof of the car. As a former customer and loan officer I do not recommend this dealership to my clients nor to you. More
I was looking for a used car for my wife. I went to big red sports and imports. I test drove a 2012 used model which seemed to be priced right. I made an offer, looked at the car-fax and it was good. I mad red sports and imports. I test drove a 2012 used model which seemed to be priced right. I made an offer, looked at the car-fax and it was good. I made a lower offer and instead of the dealership coming back with a counter-offer they accepted my low-ball offer. This gave a red flag warning as in basically what is wrong with this car? upon further observation i noticed a paint clear coat run on the trunk lid which should not be there . I then noticed that when you opened the trunk that the paint was 2 different colors where the trunk hinges go into the body from one side to the other. Obviously the car had been hit in the rear and it was not declared by the dealership. Big Red has a questionable reputation around norman and i personally know why now? If you choose to deal with this car-lot make sure you really look the car over and have a reputable mechanic check it out as they honestly tried to stuck it to me but luckily they did not. Be careful when you shop there as the old saying goes "buyer beware" applies to this car lot. More

By the way very friendly and quick. we had a deal set up over the p called and spoke with lisa she helped me through the trade in and credit process. By the way very friendly and quick. we had a deal set up over the phone. She told me to ask for Jeremy when I got there I did and the pressure was taken off of buying a car he listened to the deal I had made with lisa and then came back with an even better deal, he explained I want to make you happy on this purchase so we will see you again and again. If they keep up with the cars or trucks I want I will not go any where else. More
I visited this Dealer on 011113 to gauge the amount of my trade. The Salesman and the Finance Mgr. went above and beyond the call of duty, to get me qualified and into my 2012 Sorento. All this with an affor trade. The Salesman and the Finance Mgr. went above and beyond the call of duty, to get me qualified and into my 2012 Sorento. All this with an affordable payment. And get my trade paidoff. I am quite pleased with this dealer. Would like to add every review I read previous to my visit was negative. So i struck up a conversation with customers at the dealer buying, had purchased and were there for service. All were POSITIVE!! More
when we arrived at this Dealer we expressed our wishes and expectations for our new Kia, after talking to them for over 2 hours, we got in our old vehicle and Andy (Manager)came to us and ask us about ano and expectations for our new Kia, after talking to them for over 2 hours, we got in our old vehicle and Andy (Manager)came to us and ask us about another Kia from another dealer with a different color that the one we wanted but with a good sticker price for us, we agreed because the new car will have everything we hope for except for the color. this was done and promised on a saturday but they will deliver the vehicle on monday when we pick it up it was a bright silver (we were looking for a black one or a dark silver)we went home on the new car and after reviewing the documents we signed we noticed an extra insurrance for $3800 and an extra fee of $200 and another for $250. we took the vehicle back next day only to be threatened by Andy saying he will take us to court because the trade in vehicle is already his and the new vehicle is ours, he even had the nerv to threatened us with a tow truck. Do not do bussiness with BIG RED they are not there to help you finding what you want, they are there to push vehicles on you and to take as much money as they can from you. More
These guys are rip off artists. Went to Bob Moore first and got a good price. Just a simple hello and a hand shake. Ask for best price and was told right up front without and silly games. Then I went to and got a good price. Just a simple hello and a hand shake. Ask for best price and was told right up front without and silly games. Then I went to Big Red hoping to get the price beat. They started about $3000 higher then the other guy. They even ran my credit report without asking or telling me they were going to. I was ONLY getting pricing. NOT signing on the dotted line. They would not come close to the internet posted price. They played the game of back and forth with prices. After about 1.5 hours of the silly games I left and went back to The Edmond dealer and bought the car for the original agreed price. In fact the car 2012 sold and they got me a 2013 for the same amount. I saved over one thousand dollars off Big Reds best price before walking out on them. They kept telling me the other guy was lying to me because they sold more Kia's then all the other dealers and no one could beat there price. LOL! The other guy did not run my credit report until I set down and was signing on the dotted line. The ad on the radio says "If we can't beat the other guys price we'll give you the car!" What a big fat joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay clear of this place. They will lie to you and rip you off! More
Found a great deal on a used truck. I'm from out of state so they wanted a deposit that was said to be refundable. Made a $500 deposit. I wanted to have the truck inspected before my credit union sent state so they wanted a deposit that was said to be refundable. Made a $500 deposit. I wanted to have the truck inspected before my credit union sent the check for the truck. They would not allow it to be inspected and the GM (should be fired) told me, rudely, to quit screwing around and buy the truck but he would not allow it to be inspected at my cost and then hung up. Finance manager called me the next day and wanted to "back the deal out." I said sure and get me my deposit. I called to get my refund for nearly a month and got the run around each time, so I referred the matter to my bank and Visa (made deposit with visa bank card). Visa just sent me a letter stating that the charge by Big Red Sports and Imports was fraudulent and Visa/my bank reimbursed me. If they tried to keep my refundable $500 deposit, I wonder why they didn't want the truck I was buying sight unseen and shipping to my home state inspected? More
We had a horrible experince. We were all set to buy a minivan, and in the end they ended up lying to us and trying to get us to pay more money they we wanted. They were very rude and the manager was even minivan, and in the end they ended up lying to us and trying to get us to pay more money they we wanted. They were very rude and the manager was even more dishonest. I would not send anyone there to buy a car! More
