Both times the car was barley any cleaner then when it went it, also really strict times to get the car washed. I scheduled for my free yearly detail which I had to ask about. They didn’t remind me or offer it. Then they said I have to leave my car there the entire day M-F. So impossible for a regular working person. They transferred me to a manger to ask for a loaner car since I had to leave it there all day & still get to work. I was told they don’t loan cars for free details. This “free” stuff just seems like a way to get you to buy the car and really they are making it impossible for a full time working person to receive these “benefits”. I wouldn’t mind if they worked with me but they were not helpful. Im not sure why I wouldn’t be offered a loaner car if they need to take the entire day to clean my car. I’m very disappointed. The sales department was great but the service has just been awful. More

Thank You , Larisa, Dave B. and Parts Dept. On Saturday-22/Sept/2018, I was in need of a (utility-convenience) part for my 2017 Prius Two model. The nice man , Larisa, Dave B. and Parts Dept. On Saturday-22/Sept/2018, I was in need of a (utility-convenience) part for my 2017 Prius Two model. The nice man(I appologize for not recalling his name) at the parts counter remembered all the details of my needs from our discussion two-days prior... very impressive. And after the purchase, I asked Larisa R. for some advice about the item, and in a short-order of time, Larisa R. & Dave B., Service Manager, was right beside me and spent a decent amount of time, making sure I would be getting the best use of the part. I'm also thankful for the wonderful detailing-job done and State Inspection for my 1-year-old Prius. Again, the people at Smith town Toyota excel at helping the customer feel right-at-home! More
Poor workmanship I have bought many cars from this dealership and the sales department is awesome, but the service department is terrible. I brought my 2016 Tundra in I have bought many cars from this dealership and the sales department is awesome, but the service department is terrible. I brought my 2016 Tundra in for an oil change back in March I should have checked the oil afterwards but I didn't my mistake. You would think you could trust the dealership WRONG). I check my oil after only 2000 miles and it was a quart low and the oil was dirty. You have to understand I change the oil in my truck every 5000 miles not 10000 like the manufacturer recommends. So I never need to add oil between oil changes and when I do the oil change my oil is still usually pretty clean. What this tells me is they never performed the oil change that they were paid to do. I'll take my truck to another Toyota dealer from now on. Stay away!!!! More

Drove away and realized I had to reset all settings on dashboard regarding my preferences. A few moments later a realized that my wiper blades were not even, one was resting higher than the other. I turned on the wipers and the driver side wiper blade flew off the car. I pulled over, retrieved the wiper blade and returned immediately to the service department. It too 20 minutes for two technicians to figure out how to reattach the wiper blade. I’m told that they would have examined the blade as part of the state inspection. Obviously after doing that the technician did not know how to reinstall it after it came off in his hand. Should have asked and or to,d someone. He did not. When I complained to the nasty service manager he assumed I drove into for service with the wiper not connected. How ridiculous. He also blamed the problem on the fact that they were not toyota wiper blades declaring my problem was due to the blades being aftermarket. More

Hesitation 2017 Highlander Good afternoon, Contacted Toyota via Email indicating displeasure with hesitation on the 2017 Highlander I purchased from Smithtown Toyota this pas Good afternoon, Contacted Toyota via Email indicating displeasure with hesitation on the 2017 Highlander I purchased from Smithtown Toyota this past February. A rep from Toyota called me the next day and offered to set up an inspection and road test at the dealership with the service manager Dave Bartoli. Met Dave this morning and after the road test, he indicated that there were many complaints about the hesitation with both the 17 Highlander and 17 Sienna. He filed an open case # on my behalf and felt that Toyota would address the issue in the future. Approximately 20 minutes later Dave called me and said he discovered a TSB that directly addressed the issues I was having. He said, if possible, to return for the software update. About 45 minutes later it was done and I can feel a difference in the performance. In my opinion, Dave went above and beyond in not only finding the TSB but calling me back and having the software update done on the same day. Talk about customer service! I also had the pleasure of meeting service advisor Larisa Racenis. She was very understanding re the issues with the Highlander and was genuinely happy because a solution was found. Ironically, while waiting for the adjustment I did an internet search for the problem and discovered Consumer Reports addressed this exact problem in their April issue including the TSB numbers for both the Highlander and Sienna. I could not be more happy with Smithtown Toyota and Toyota in general for addressing a performance issue. Thanks, Anthony More

Plesently Suprised Just had my 1 year scheduled service done on my Camry. This was included with the free Toyota care. Very professional and efficient, total time spent Just had my 1 year scheduled service done on my Camry. This was included with the free Toyota care. Very professional and efficient, total time spent at the dealer was 45 minutes. Had the same service done on my wifes Chevy Tahoe, also under the free maintenance schedule. Almost 3 hrs for an oil change at Smithtown Chevy. What a difference at Smithtown Toyota. More
