Let's start from the beginning. We bought a 2016 KIA Sorento in June 2020. And we were told that the car was in great condition at the time of buying it. About a few months later we started having car issues. We heard a forceful churning noise from underneath the car and we called KIA to see if they can take us in. They told us we couldn't been seen "until a week or two" because there are other cars with similar problems. We told them it was an urgent matter because our car sounded like it was going to "blow-up". They said "ok, bring it in" but we couldn't get a diagnosis of the car for about a week. They eventually told us it was a "transfer case issue that could have also caused a transmission issue." They told us it was "possibly your fault by the way you drive". By far one of the most ridiculous things to tell a customer. Within that waiting period we requested for a rental car. We could not get a rental car for nearly 2 weeks! Again, told us, “Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do, we don't have any car rentals". Car is under warranty; we didn't have our car for 40 days and it took 2 weeks to get a rental. June 2022, we had oil problems. Not sure what exactly caused it but we had a leak and the pressure sensor lit up. Called KIA again to bring it in the shop, they told us they could not take us in for ANOTHER 2 weeks. We spent nearly $900.00 for the maintenance which they couldn't cover under warranty. I'm not sure what the xxxx "bumper to bumper Warranty" even means if they can't fix an issue in which we don't have control of. We brought it to the shop, they proclaimed to have finally fixed all the issues, and not even 2 months in, our car seized up. Car had NO OIL. Car completely died on us on a busy highway, with kids in the car. So we had the car towed to KIA following day. We spoke to Erica ("Manager/handler for car rentals") who does not know her job because the people their set her up for failure. Tom (a guy who give insulting opinion AND THINKS HE IS ABLE TO DIAGNOSE CARS BECAUSE HES SEEN IT HAPPEN BUT CAN’T DIAGNOSE OR SAY WHAT THE PROBLEM IS) and Kevin who oversees Erika and Tom, and yet still couldn't do a xxxx thing for us. Oh, let me give him some credit, “I jumped you in front of everyone else (15 others with similar situation), but we still have to wait for “KIA members” to come in to check your car. But we don’t have any car rentals. So you’re going to have to wait 2 weeks. (on top of the almost two weeks I have already waited with my car still in the shop) to get the car to been seen and get a rental. And here’s KIAs number, they could maybe help you. That is as much as I can do for you”. Thank you, Kevin, and I mean it. For attempting to the most that you can to help. But our car has been at the dealership/shop for close to 2 weeks. We don’t get any follow up phone calls and we still don't have a rental car. Our business with Smithtown KIA dealership is out the drain. And again, unfortunately there is nothing they can do for us. Complete trash from these customer service centers. More
DISAPPOINTED! Bought a Kia thinking it would be a great choice and I’m already regretting it. They’re service department is so rude it’s a slap in the face. Just bought the car in September and has been brought in 2 times already. “No car rentals”. They expect you to be car less. The assistant manager Tom should take a class in manners. Completely disgusting. Does not want to help what so ever. The man in service Eric, isn’t the nicest either. Everyone wants to look at you has if your dumb and it’s “your problem”. Stay away from this dealership. Such a scam. After going back and fourth for days about a rental, they gave me a trashy car with bad brakes and tires that are balding. BE AWARE. Infiniti is was more professional. Honestly, anywhere is more professional than this place. More
Nice and quick when it came to taking my money. Car died in a week, service is terrible. Still no car 4 days later, not even a loaner that is supposed to be a courtesy they pride themselves in offering! SO in a week, service is terrible. UPDATE: Only after getting my original salesman Mike Halliday involved did I get to speak to the service manager, so thank you Mike. They FINALLY got me a car to use. As grateful as I am to not ask people for rides to get to work at 7am, I am not happy I had to call again, multiple times in one day, insisting that someone on the management team get involved. Oh and the loaner has a "needs maintenance, contact dealer" message on the dash the minute I first started it. More

Great Customer Service, Mike and Thomas were excellent and very helpful. Second time going and to lease another vehicle in addition, brought friends to lease as well. We left happy and satisfied. For a GM he is HORRIBLE, he won't return phone calls or emails to an UNHAPPY customer who was FRAUDULENTLY charged on their credit card! DO NOT GIVE THEM your credit card!!!
