This is our 5th car lease in dealing with brokers and dealerships and was my second time working with Smith Haven. The first time around we had 1 lease payment left on our car. Smith Haven told us they w dealerships and was my second time working with Smith Haven. The first time around we had 1 lease payment left on our car. Smith Haven told us they would cover it, yet I received a bill and was told it was not what we signed off on. Fast forward to now when we were turning in our Jeep Grand Cherokee for the newest model. The two major points I made to the sales rep, James, were to confirm if by turning in my car to Smith Haven against my new lease if we would be responsible for overage and any fees associated with the lease expiration. We were assured we would not receive any fees. Yet I just received a bill for $904. When I called Smith Haven, they said they are not responsible for this fee and it was not what I signed off on in our final contract. After my second time dealing with them, I get the scheme. The junior sales rep makes any promise to get you to buy. Then the paperwork starts and they turn all of the simple language they just used into complicated language of contracts which just does not match. The second you sign off on it, you are stuck and they are no longer liable for anything they "said" when negotiating the deal. When I spoke to them they denied ever agreeing to that or that their rep would ever make this promise. If you are buying or leasing a car with them, either bring a lawyer to make sure what was spoken is being translated or make them spell everything out slowly and clearly. Their game is to make a promise and then glaze over it later when the signature is due. Then you are left holding the bill. Go to a broker. In my experience it is a straight deal with none of these games. This is my last time dealing with these crooks. More
I haven’t been happy with this place since the day I purchased my used 2017 Jeep Wrangler summer of 2020. I want to start off with the fact I’m a woman and have grown up around car mechanics and I defin purchased my used 2017 Jeep Wrangler summer of 2020. I want to start off with the fact I’m a woman and have grown up around car mechanics and I definitely know what I’m talking about when it comes to realizing theres an issue with my car and this place has treated me as if I don’t have a clue. For starters, they sold me the car while it needed ALL brakes replaced, including all the hoses, calipers, pads. This became my issue to deal with not even a year later from when I bought the car, so yes I acknowledge responsibility in that. In April, they recommended I complete the front brakes, calipers, hoses and pads while the back ones could wait. They then only did both front brakes and only my LEFT front side of calipers/hoses/pads because “warranty only covers what really needs to be replaced”, but to my understanding the entire front was being completed and I was fine with paying for what needed to be paid for, obviously. When I picked my car up I realized the brakes needed to be bled more, and I was told “its fine, I’ve worked on a million Wranglers this is how all the brakes are” which is 1) from a managers perspective, extremely nasty, you’re addressing the customer as if they (me) don’t know what they’re talking about and 2) its my car, I’m paying for the service, and want my safety reassured, if I’m paying for it then it should be scheduled in to be fixed and have that be that. The brakes were bled and I was told “there was the tiniest air pocket”, yeah no xxxx. Well, it is now July and I took my car in to have the back brakes/rest of xxxxxxxx be fixed and replaced. Come to find out about the front right side and how they didn’t do it, this is my mistake as I did not go through the paper work from April to realize they only completed one side, first of all what dealership does that? I’m bringing my car in to have it fixed, does it look like I have an issue paying for what needs to be paid? NO, which is the entire point of bringing the vehicle in. So now here we are, over a $$ grand later, I pick up my vehicle and there are still issues with it and I’m being asked to return so they can have a look at it. As negative as this post is, I want to mention the service manager has been extremely patient with me and that the original sales rep for my car was a sweetheart. But I will never recommend this dealership to others and that in itself is unfortunate. More

Employees are nice but the manager Marcell and the sales department are nothing but frauds. I purchased a cat from then in 2018 was promised 4 oil changes by Billy (salesman) I dropped off my car told them department are nothing but frauds. I purchased a cat from then in 2018 was promised 4 oil changes by Billy (salesman) I dropped off my car told them I had 2 left they said ok. I come back a week later then was told AFTER they did the work that I don't and they charged me. 2nd they signed a document for me as Sof(signature on file) for the bank loan which is fraud. STAY AWAY don't give them your business unless you want to get screwed over. Yes I will be contacting multiple lawyers More

Unfair practices of showing you a lower total price on the website until you get in the showroom, trickery is their game!! I was led to believe my trade of $4650 would be honored and even told that was a the website until you get in the showroom, trickery is their game!! I was led to believe my trade of $4650 would be honored and even told that was a “ low ball “ number since they are desperate for trades. After driving four hours, I’m told I would get $1000 for my trade, although I had a guaranteed offer from Edmunds of $3700. They are not a honest outfit. I wasted a whole day and $$$ in tolls and gas to play their game. But I WON!! I LEFT. They can be dishonest again on Monday to someone else, get their pennies on commission and enjoy their frozen TV dinner. There ARE better dealerships!! More
After a long week of sleazy "used car salesman" I went to Smith Haven Jeep fully expecting to pay Thousands of dollars in fees on top of the Online Price. After going down to Empire dodge and being harassed and deceived I came here and dealt with one of the most upfront and helpful car salesmans I have dealt with to date. My only words of advice are to not waste your time. We went here with our 2 and 4 year old children with the intentions of trading in our lease for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. We set pricing expectations and went here with our 2 and 4 year old children with the intentions of trading in our lease for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. We set pricing expectations and after being strung along for almost 2 hours they came in at $600/mo with 3900 down. To compare i ended up at another dealer with a superior vehicle at $420/mo with $2000 down. Buyers beware. More
