I signed a lease for a Chrysler Town and Country for 3 years. I made the full downpayment, deposits and other fees and I added the car to my insurance for next day pick up. But, when I did not get a call -- I headed towards the dealership and called. The sales manager told me that he cannot do the deal without extra $1179.00. I said I signed a deal and will not pay extra money. He said that the contract is void then. Later that day I tried to make another deal with better offer and could not do it as the fund was already taken out of my account. I lost the other deal and I am not sure what will happen to my cresit line because they tried to pull the money and checcking account had insufficient fund. The dealership was closed and I called next day to inquire why they withdrew the money if contract is void. I could not go to the dealership because I was at work. After reading this rating page I knew they will treat my wife worse and I did not want my kids and wife to get into a confrontation situation. I think Chrysler corporation should do something about this. Their reputation is already affected by this dealership. We decided to go with Chrysler instead of Honda because Chrysler has an assembly site in US that is creating job for our fellow citizens. I think with their newer minivan they are coming very close to other elite minivans like Honda Oddyssey or Toyota Sienna. I am proud of Chrysler but I think Chrysler Finance and/or Chrysler corporation should put a shorter leash on some of these dealerships. If they want to compete and become industry leader -- they need to go beyond industry leaders. When you are playing catch up -- you need to be better than the team you are catching up to. More
When I enquired about the price of a used car, they would never tell me how they came to the advertised figures on their website. In other words, I asked them how much down on the monthly price they are quot never tell me how they came to the advertised figures on their website. So I told them I wasn't interested, and they kept on calling and I kept asking the same question. And again, no response on their part. In short - I purchased a vehicle from this dealer (I was a repeat customer also)on a Sunday and was scheduled to pick up this vehicle on the following Wednesday. The delaership sent their salesperson to the hospital for me to sign papers. Those papers had an additional $4k in warranty and other charges that I did not ask for, nor did I want. Unfortunately, I signed the papers- trusting that they were an honest dealership- without reading all the fine print especially since I was heavily medicated with Morphine for the injuries I sustained in the accident. After returning home from the hospital I noticed that thousands of dollars were added to the agreement. Sure that it was a mistake, I called the dealership, explained that I was heavily medicated and was not in any condition to scrutinize the papers, but I mistakenly signed the agreement that had charges I did not agree to. Needless to say, they refused to refund me for these charges which I find to be completely unethical, sleezy and just plain despicable for these people to take advantage of a person that was suffering from serious injuries and heavily medicated - ESPECIALLY A REPEAT CUSTOMER. I now have a loan that I can not afford in addition to lost wages due to an accident that was not my fault or under my control - THANK YOU FOR THIS SMITHHAVEN DODGE - ENJOY THE EXTRA $4K THAT I GAVE YOU FOR NOTHING.` More
One of the worse experiences of my new car buying history. Everything that could have gone wrong did because of the lack of customer care and knowledge. You would think after having gone through this horrific experience the owner, who mind you over heard my frustrations with the sales team, come out of his cave and apologize to me personally. After buying a $45k car you would think they would want to make me somewhat happy so I can buy another car from them in the future. Of course not, they only cared about how they can milk me for more money. Be warned, stay away from this dealer. Find one that cares about the people who want to buy American made cars. Weather you’re spending $10k or $100K on a car treat your customers like gold. It goes a long way. More
Went to have my Dodge Ram 1500 inspected was told that the vehicle needed Breaks. They replaced the Breaks but the next day after they replaced the breakes when i tryed to stop at a red light the breakes the vehicle needed Breaks. WHEN I SPOKE TO THE SERVICE MANAGER HE STATED THAT THEY BUT AFTER MARKET BREAKS ON NOT OEM BREAKES I WHENT TO THE DEALER THINKING THAT THEY WOULD USE OEM BREAKS NOT AFTER MARKET BREAKS . THE SERVICE MANAGER HAD THE BREAKES REPLACED WITH OEM BUT STATED I HAD TO BE GENTILE WITH MY BREAKING FOR 500 MILES SO THE WOULD BREAK IN PROPERLY . I HAVE NEVER HAD A BREAK JOB ON ANY AUTO I HAVE EVER OWNED THAT NEED THE BREAKES TO BE BROKEN IN . I CHECKED WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AFTER THE FACT ABOUT THIS DEALER THE HAVE " F " RATING THE LOWEST YOU CAN GET FOR REPAIRS More
