Smart Motors agreed to an out the door price but did not honor it. They made an imposibly low estimate of registration fees so that it appeared my price was being honored, then stuck me with the bill. I end honor it. I ended up paying a price more than I had clearly refused during negotiations. I checked with the state and almost all of the estimated registration fees were fixed. Only about $20 of my $260 bill was not knowable in advance, and even then it is simple to actually estimate. Their lowball estimate was impossible and could not have been made in good faith. I asked them how they could have been so far off on the estimate and only got lame excuses. No attempt to make it right or even acknowledge their "mistake" cost me money I was unwilling to spend. Play your dishonestr tricks before you agree on a price, not after. Lesson learned for me, but I got to see the true colors of this dealer and will never return. More
