Cheyenne, we are very sorry for what has happened. As stated before you's were asked to leave a deposit twice on two different occasions on the vehicle you were looking at and you's didn't. Your husband said he was supposed to come up Wednesday but did not show up until Thursday after the vehicle was being sold to someone else. Without a deposit we are not obligated to hold a vehicle for anyone, first come first serve. Each and every time you's were here we treated you's with great respect and were very kind to you, we accommodated you the best we possibly could. It is unfortunate that you's didn't leave a deposit but that is the way the business goes. Here at Small Town Auto we apologize for the inconvenience and wish you would reconsider your negative reviews.

We are very sorry that you were not overall happy with your purchase. We do apologize for everything and wish we could make it right for you. The first time you had a fuel leak we took the vehicle in and fixed it free of charge even though it was a non covered warranty item. We did not see any calipers having any issues when we had the vehicle in our possession during the repair of the fuel leak. WE feel that you took your vehicle to a new car dealer, and they did what they do best. Talked you into not fixing your current vehicle, jacked up the prices on all the parts and labor so it would absolutely seem absurd to fix. We priced every item you said and could have gotten every part for under $800 and most of it was not very time consuming to change, so our opinion is that you got taken over by a new car dealer and talked into leasing one of their new vehicles. We can provide you with a print out to show you the price of all the listed parts you said needed replacing so you can see we are not lying, that is the exact reason we don't trust anyone's opinion but our own mechanics. We are very sorry that your overall experience was not up to your standards and wish you the best.

I read your response and like I said in the beginning you would put your spin on it and that’s fine it’s your right. I know you didn’t want me to write a review unless it was a good one (YOUR WORDS) I told what happened and people are free to make up their mind if I got screwed or not. Since this is continuing let me clarify a few things regarding your “spin” on things. You Mr. have a great system You have an attitude about you and your son plays the family business card. He’s good. In fact the only reason I bought from you was because of him. I doubt your sincerity in you feeling sorry that I was not happy for my purchase. You had an opportunity to try to make me happy but you didn’t. Let’s recap - Minus the fees I gave you $7100 cash and well I ended up with a money pit all within having the vehicle for 29 days. Yes the vehicle had a gas leak. I found it when I filled up the truck for the first time within the first 2 days of owning it. Should have been the first warning sign. In fact I still have the stain in my driveway as an everyday reminder. I stated in my initial review that you fixed the problem and as you stated “I was supposed to appreciate” the fact that you did that for me. I also told you that there was a problem with the wheel to begin with. Now as to the $3000.00 plus additional money I was going to have to put into the vehicle to make it safe and usable. A water pump, catalytic converter, and 4 brake calipers. In your review` response you said that you feel I took the truck to a dealership. Really? Did the dealership secretly climb into my vehicle while I was driving and make the check engine and brake/ABS light come on? I know they knew I was going to be driving to Staten Island and go to their shop that so they sent fictitious codes to my vehicle scanner so all these error codes popped on my OBD scanner. The also froze the wheel so when they took me around the vehicle to do an inspection of the issues they found and I tried spinning the wheel myself and couldn’t. I am curious who takes a Chevy truck to a Ford Dealership to get the truck fixed? – This sounds like you’re just grasping at straws and make yourself sound better? As I told you on the phone when the truck broke down that I was at a private mechanic in New York because I went to visit family and the same problem that I requested you look at after 2 days of owning the vehicle got me stuck. I made the decision to go to a dealership after speaking to you and was unhappy with your attitude and your way of not trying to fix the situation. Even asked you to take the car back for another and you declined. I was $7100.00 in the hole to you for the truck, $168.00 for diagnostics to find the issues your missed or ignored then spending over $200.00 to tow the vehicle to your shop and as you quoted without even seeing the vehicle $1000.00 to fix the current problems. Seems a lot for a vehicle that was in my possession for 29 days and didn't even use every day. And I can price out vehicle parts as well and did. You're a little off on parts costs but who knows what website, junkyard or autoparts store is being looked at and my $3000 included labor and taxes. Looking at repair guide estimates on the internet the mechanic was charging me a fair rate for the repairs. Let’s remember was stuck in New York. I cut my losses, leased a vehicle and had to get another job to pay for it. In the end the $7100 I gave you in cash for the vehicle, the $200.00 for that warranty you sold me that covered nothing, the $168.00 I laid out for the diagnostics, the estimated $200.00 in what it would have cost to tow the vehicle to your shop, the minimum $1000.00 you wanted to fix the problems if I would have done a lease originally I would have saved money. You've mentioned a couple of times how you don't trust anyone's opinion but your own mechanic well he had his shot, missed problems and an independent mechanic who had nothing to gain, unlike yours, questioned how this vehicle passed an inspection to begin with. Let's just say I sure as xxxx don’t trust your mechanics opinion after that. I feel you sold me a piece of crap vehicle. I feel you knew that and sold it anyway. In the end It's done. I can type all I want doesn’t change the outcome You won, got my money and I got screwed. It happens. Congrats. Hope other customers don't blow a wad of cash like I did. Oh yea if I look in my folder I can probably find the estimate from my mechanic as well and the receipt for my lease. Look at that 2 different businesses.
