I LOVE my new GMC! We are expecting our first child in a few months and brought our 07 Cobalt into Smail of Greensburg for some recall work. The service staff was super friendly and helpful and put me in a GM paid rental car while they had the Cobalt. While on the lot, we started looking at crossovers/SUVs and decided it may be the right time to move up a size. Matt Rellick spoke with us about our needs & wish list and also what features the Terrain offers. Because of the recall, Bill Campana was able to offer us GM employee pricing (a HUGE deal) with cash rebates on top of that. They offered for us to test drive one if we had the time- which we did and LOVED. Excellent handling, great pick up on the highway, and such a comfortable well tailored interior. After returning to Smail, Matt showed us the range of options and models they had on the lot. He explained the safety features on the Terrain and the popular feature for families- the rear seat moves on a track away from the front seats (No kicking!) and the back of the seats even adjust to better conform and support car seats. I hadn't even thought of that! We decided to have the Cobalt appraised for trade in and our Mitsubishi as well. Bill went over our individual budget needs and some financing options with us and even found that as USAA members, we could get an additional $750 off! While they worked the figures, we chatted with Bob Quigg in the showroom about the next model up which was on display there. The value was outstanding- Bill and Matt worked the figures for our budget on both models so we could compare. The hospitality was great while we waited and it really was a relaxing experience to talk with the guys while they crunched some numbers. With the rough figures set, we went to the next door plaza for a bite to eat to discuss the options while the Smail team ran the credit check. In no time at all, they call us and, after returning to the showroom, we were pleasantly surprised to see the rates even better than the initial figures. No brainer- it was time to buy. Matt took care of coordinating the paperwork for trade ins and insurance and Bill made the entire process easy to understand and painless. Tom Mastowki did a fantastic job explaining to us the finances and working with our budget- and helped us pick a warranty package that fit our needs and funding. I'm sure I was all smiles when they drove my new 2014 GMC Terrain out of the showroom! Matt sat with us inside and thoroughly explained all the controls and computer system (certainly a step up from the Cobalt!) and he even synced our phones with the Blue tooth. We set up the OnStar together and then we were off! I stopped back at Smail two days later to drop off the extra key the the Cobalt- and the guys were just as friendly and helpful as when we were potential customers. I am confident that if any issue should arise or if I have any questions, all I have to do is call. I am actually looking forward to our first oil change (which of course will be at Smail) so that I can bring our new baby in to meet the guys. We came into Smail as frustrated owners of a car with recalls and left with a far safer and much more comfortable vehicle that perfectly meets the needs of our growing family and lifestyle. I love my Terrain too much to think of replacing it- but when that time comes- we will absolutely be returning to Smail in Greensburg. More
