I think that they need to reassess the design of the hatch to prevent this from happening. It took several weeks to get an appointment, and I was told it would take 7 weekdays to make the repairs. On the afternoon before the car was promised to be done, I called, since I had not heard from them, and was told that while installing the replacement door, it was found to have been repaired too many times and could not be use and that it would take an indeterminate amount of time to make the repair. If the dealer had several weeks to source the part and several days to make the repair, why was it determined at the last minute that the part was not good? Would not the part have been inspected on arrival? Why was I not kept informed during the process instead of having to make contact myself on the eve it was promised? After this additional delay of 7 more days, I called on a Friday and was told that it was almost done and may be done that afternoon. I was told I would be called. Monday came and went with no call. Tuesday afternoon came I was notified the repair was done. I went first thing Wednesday morning to find no explanation for the delay, paperwork not ready, and my car surrounded by other cars in a very tight, inclined and angled parking lot which I was told I had to pull my own car out of, risking striking other vehicles. Bottom line, poor product design, poor supply chain procedures, and abysmal, insensitive, seriously lacking customer service. More
