Terrible Customer service! WARNING!!! I highly recommend if you live out of state, and are looking to purchase a vehicle at Sir Walter Chevrolet to strongly consider purchasing WARNING!!! I highly recommend if you live out of state, and are looking to purchase a vehicle at Sir Walter Chevrolet to strongly consider purchasing from someone else. My experience was terrible from start to finish, literally from the receptionist all the way down to the finance manager. I’ve read all the reviews on their website, trust me that they have to be fabricated. Because this dealership set unrealistic expectations for someone living out of state, the staff was very lazy, and unprofessional..just calling it like I see it. They sold a truck out from underneath my nose, all because I wouldn’t give them the check for the full pay off amount...all before I test drove it. Now mind you, again I live out of state, and over 3 hrs away. I also work a full time job..so I can’t just pick up and head out of town whenever I want. i asked them simply to hold that truck for 72 hrs until I could get up there (on the weekend) I would be there first thing Saturday morning to test drive the vehicle, and purchase it right after. The purchase agreement was sent, and received on both ends. A letter from my bank notifying Sir Walter Chevrolet, that I was approved for the full purchase amount. On top of that all, my appointment was set for Saturday 9/28 to make the three hour trip there to test drive, and purchase the vehicle as that would be the earliest I could make it. Long story short none of what I did for them or what they asked me to do was enough for them to offer the slightest customer service. They had the opportunity to do the right thing, and chose not too. For more of a pain free process I’d encourage you to shop somewhere else. They do not have your best interest at mind. SIR WALTER CHEVROLET please I don’t need a response on here from you about my terrible experience, better yet just do better from here out, and treat your customers better!! First step of treating them better will he leaving this post up, so at least fair warning has been given. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! More

This I call very professional. When I got to the dealership Steve introduced me to Greg. Greg and I went out to see what type of car I would want and we test drove. To make a long story short those two men did a super job helping me to get 2019 Chevy Malibu which I love. I would recommend Steve or Greg to help anyone. Thanks. Shelia More

They would not waive this fee and let me walk out the door and lost a $33,000 truck sale in the process . I have never heard of such an idiotic policy that must have come about as a solution to improve the bottom line. Make sure you read the fine print. I will never return for anything. More
Great experience from sales to service I had a great buying experience with Mike Foschi and and have great follow up service visits (3). They had the best deals on new Silverados hands down and their price was as advertised, which made the process very quick compared to previous truck buying experiences elsewhere. The store is very clean and has nice amenities while waiting for maintenance work and I’m always offered transportation during my service visits if I don’t want to hang around. Christian in service is a rock star. More
Client/Sales are great...Service is questionable. I had such a great experience with the purchase of my new '19 Silverado. My Sales Advisor, Bryan was great. The finance guy, Chiago, was great as well I had such a great experience with the purchase of my new '19 Silverado. My Sales Advisor, Bryan was great. The finance guy, Chiago, was great as well! Super nice guys! There were two accessories that I wanted as part of the deal; a tonneau cover and tool boxes. Of course, sales was eager and able to sell them, even though they have little knowledge of accessories, to make the deal. They did their job and verified they would be able to honor the deal by installing the accessories, as requested. Now comes the reason for 3 Stars... It took +2 weeks to get the accessories in, during a time where everything is shipped in 2 days or less. There were two small issues with the finish on the truck that were noted during my pre-delivery checklist...no big deal. I set up an appointment to take the truck in for the install of the tonneau and the toolboxes only to later find out that 1) the "guy" that does their finish work wasn't there that day and 2) the toolboxes don't fit. The finish "guy" being off isn't such a big deal as everyone deserves their time off. The big disappointment is in the service department for throwing their hands up about the toolboxes instead of calling the manufacturer for clarifying details. I reached out to the MFG for clarification to find that the boxes do fit fine, when installed correctly. The service department didn't know what they were doing, so they moved on and put the problem off to someone else. So, I am going to have to take the truck back for the install (which I could easily do myself, but it is the principle and what I paid for). During all of this, I had to deal with my sales advisor instead of the service manager calling me to discuss the issue. Again...a SALES advisor...not the guy responsible for installing it. The guy we spoke to at the parts counter was a bit smug at first and didn't appear to want to help. He ended up coming around, which I appreciated. The whole experience makes me wonder if they can take care of my truck for years to come and wonder what the next experience will be like. More
Lies and Shady Business Practices I bought my 2016 Silverado from Sir Walter brand new with an extended 100k warranty. Brought my truck in last week at 37k miles (1k out of 36k bumper I bought my 2016 Silverado from Sir Walter brand new with an extended 100k warranty. Brought my truck in last week at 37k miles (1k out of 36k bumper to bumper) for a power braking issue. I will preface by saying I did a ton of research on this issue before hand, and the issue with my truck is well known and has affected hundreds of GM full size trucks and SUV's across the US. Not only that, but there is a service bulletin out, and a class action lawsuit against GM for safety concerns and them using knowingly faulty parts resulting in active brake failures. I will also preface with the fact that the "technician" at Sir Walter was able to replicate this issue every single time when testing the vehicle. So, I bring my truck in to get this repaired, or the faulty part (vacuum pump) replaced, and I was told 2 things by the tech - Number 1: I need to bring my truck back to stock form. My wheels and tires are too heavy for my truck, causing the failure. This was so comical, I thought he was joking. My truck is leveled 2" with OEM GM wheels and slightly larger, more aggressive tires. This "diagnosis" is coming from a dealership that sells trucks that are lifted higher, with larger/heavier wheels/tires than are on my truck, on the same factory brake components. Keep in mind, this is also a truck with an 8k+ tow capacity, and they blamed it on my wheels and tires being being MAYBE 15 lbs heavier each than the stock setup. This is a total cop out answer and poor attempt to say that my warranty is void and wont cover the issue, due to my modifications to my truck. This may have worked on someone who doesn't know much about trucks/cars, but not me. First valid attempt to take advantage of a "valued customer". Number 2: Before diagnosing and pinpointing the issue (besides the comical answer I just stated), I was told that pretty much my whole power braking system needs to be replaced (vacuum pump, brake booster, master cylinder, and all hosing associated), with a grand total of $2,000 out of pocket because it will NOT be covered under my 100k warranty (complete BS). I was also told that this may not fix the issue.... My truck was dropped of on a Tuesday, and I picked it up the following Monday, so it sat for 6 days, untouched after the initial testing. RESOLUTION: No more Sir walter Chevrolet. After picking up my truck, I brought it to a friends shop, where they were able to - test, diagnose, and FIX the problem in ONE DAY. FIX: Bad Vaccum pump. Quick and easy replacement with the updated GM pump, checked other components and everything else functioned just as it should. Keep in mind, Sir Walter wanted to charge me $2k out of pocket to replace other related parts that were completely fine. This was replaced for a fraction of that cost, and get this, it WAS covered under warranty! MORAL OF THE STORY: All things considered, Brian and Brandon have been great to work with. That was literally the only positive. I really wanted to like Sir Walter Chevy, however I will never be back to them for anything. I've even got a handful of free oil changes/services left that I will not be exhausting because I no longer trust them with my truck. All due to shady business practices, incompetence, attempted exploitation, and negligence to their customer's needs. Being a customer that spent almost $50k on a truck, this whole process was super negligent and unprofessional. Service department is a total scam. I had every intention of purchasing my next truck from them at the end of this year but will now go elsewhere. I also have a few friends that are in the market to buy trucks in the the immediate future, as well as many more friends/colleagues beyond that looking to purchase personal and business related vehicles. I have, and will continue to urge everyone I know to purchase from any other dealership in the area besides Sir Walter. More
