Walked in expecting a battle I had purchased an HHR from Carmax in 2011 which i had problems with since Day1. I was my birthday weekend spend a day back and forth from dealers was not how i wanted to spend the day. Don asked me to look just look at a car. He showed me the Cruze... sexy car i thought but with our credit my husband and i did not get our hopes up. Don came back with a great deal and gave my husband got me a great birthday present. That morning started with "I will never ever buy a Chevy again" to going home with my first brand new car. THANKS Don and all the friendly faces at SWC. More

Tony and Gary on the Finance Team were very helpful and got us an extremely low rate and gave us a fantastic deal on our car. We could not be happier with the car, the staff or the service we received at Sir Walter and we highly recommend them to anyone. During the last several times we brought the vehicle in for service, I find it curious that they don’t seem to have a full time “specialist” for what it is we need done. For example we needed a front end a for service, I find it curious that they don’t seem to have a full time “specialist” for what it is we need done. For example we needed a front end alignment and the “Tire Guy” wasn’t in that day. The sunroof’s drain holes needed cleaning out and the “Leak Guy” apparently is the only person who knows what to do and he’s only there on Thursdays. If I wanted a vehicle who needed a specialist every time I brought it in, I would have not bought a Chevy More

Having never purchased a new car before, this was a learning experience for me. JJ was an excellent salesperson...listened to what type of car I needed/wanted and my price range, took me straight to th learning experience for me. Bill (finance manager) worked above and beyond the call of duty to get me financing (no credit history) and was able to not only get me a good price on the car but also a very good financing package. They were unable to detail the car the night we purchased it. So, we took it back yesterday and they did an excellent job...JJ even helped my daughters pair their cell phones to the bluetooth system! I would highly recommend this dealership, particularly JJ, for anyone looking for a new car. And Bill is an excellent advocate for financing! I will be happy to addend this posting following future servicing of the car! More
My '09 Cobalt recently stopped starting so naturally I had it towed in for service. Sir Walter promptly provided me with a rental and told me it would take two days to fix and the warranty would cover eve had it towed in for service. Fast forward through 9 days of delays and reassuring phone calls, and I get a final phone call from the service rep saying they will not cover the rental. I had to fight my way through it, and they still only covered half the rental bill saying some parts were not under warranty (which took them over a week to reach this conclusion?!). The "factory trained" mechanic even told me at one point, "you know how many of these cars we get in here?" (makes a 'zero' gesture with his hand) "this is the first one I've seen." Insult to injury: I was asked to wait in the office while the paperwork was being completed. I waited for a half-hour before wandering off to find the service rep, at which point he told me everything was ready and to see the cashier inside. Upon visiting the cashier I found another charge on the receipt (clerical error) that I had to straighten out. Now I am stuck with hundreds of dollars of unexpected expenses and my car is still not running properly. Will not return, and I wish they didn't already have my money from the initial sale. Headache. More

I purchased a car there in November '09, so met the finance folk. They were very above board. I sincerely doubt that anyone was verbally abusive except the previous customer. I also doubt Sir Walter would want him/her as a customer, so they probably don't consider the loss of this sale a bad thing. More
When attempting to purchase a car at Sir Walter Chevrolet in Raleigh, NC I was treated very rudely by the head finance guy. He not only became verbally abusive, but was close to getting physical as well. I hope he is not like this with other prospective buyers because his lousy attitude made me question the integrity of not only this particular dealership, but of all chevrolet affiliations. This poor and unprofessional attitude is deemed unacceptable and shall not be tolerated. I am unsure if i can trust another chevrolet dealersip after this outrageous experience. More
