I paid a very fair price, better than I would have paid from other dealers. Most importantly, I was treated extremely well; no pressure, a long test drive and inspection, and a perfectly clean and detailed car when I picked it up. I had a better purchasing experience at Sir Walter than I had when I purchased a new Lexus a number of years ago. They really did a great job and were as nice and accommodating as can be. Next I went to Sir Walter's service department. Not because there were any problems with my purchased Impala, but because after owning many cars (and rally racing many years ago) I understand the necessity and cost effectiveness of properly maintaining all vehicles. I requested complete flush and fill using BG products, oil change, and a spark plug change. The vehicle that I had purchased had over 90,000 miles so this thoroughness was appropriate. A car that I had previously owned and maintained lasted over 23 years. Again, Sir Walter's service department was Great! All four of the service advisors answered questions and worked with me to assure my satisfaction. Work was done in a timely and professional manner with very good and fair pricing. I purchased a new truck a couple weeks ago and decided to detail the truck this past Saturday (it's been under a carport most days since I purchased it), so I pull it into my garage underneath fluorescent lights, wash it and dry it off. While drying it I noticed several pieces of debris in the paint. Then I notice a few dull spots where it has been sanded and buffed, with some still having sand scratches. So I begin to wonder if it has been repainted, and why I was not informed of it before the purchase. NC state law requires a dealer to report in writing and damage that exceeds 5% of the purchase price, and anything less has to be told to the customer if asked. After attempting to call the salesperson I purchased from multiple times with no response, I finally got a hold of the service dept. to find out if any repairs were on that vehicle and they said nothing was found. I then told them about the debris in the paint and the sand scratches/buff marks and was directed to a sales manager that said I need to bring it to the service dept. for them to inspect it. So I scheduled a time, took off work, and drove 80 miles to the dealership, only to be told they do not have a body shop and I have to take it to another dealer. The closest one to me they said is 140 away from them (about 60 for me). Now I'm sure the sales manager I spoke with knew they did not have a body shop yet they had me drive all that way without even an apology. I can get it repaired at a local body shop that does new car warranty work weekly, but they said no it has to go to another dealer. They did not even offer to contact the dealer in question and explain the situation or schedule an appointment. I asked them if they could at least provide an extended warranty on the paint as the it has been sanded thin in some spots and could be an issue down the road, they said all they could do is contact Chevrolet and see what they say. I'm holding my breath on that. We'll see what they decide and if it's favorable I'll report back and share. More
Awesome Dealership I live in Nebraska, 1300 miles away. I found my Camaro on the internet and Sir Walter had it. From my first phone call to Andre on May 27 Till I picked up the car on June 12 this dealership was awesome. They went out of there way on Memorial day weekend to make sure we met a deadline of May 31 to get all the promotions they had going on. They next day airmailed all the paper work to me. If you are looking for a dealership Sir Walter is it. Awesome job Andre and Sir Walter. Thank You a very satisfied customer More
Worst customer service First time I called them, they picked up, waited 5 seconds and then hung up. Called back so I could try and get in for one of my free oil changes. G First time I called them, they picked up, waited 5 seconds and then hung up. Called back so I could try and get in for one of my free oil changes. Got transferred to service where it just rang and nobody picked up. Called a THIRD time and got transferred to voice mail. Called a fourth time and got transferred back to a number that was just ringing again. 4 total calls. I went on the web and chatted with somebody who asked the questions that were already answered by filling out the web form before the chat. Finally, I get an e-mail from an Erica asking for a reply which I provided and 3/4 of a week later, nobody has contacted me to setup an appointment...an appointment I REALLY wanted before I traveled. Waste of time and effort. More

Last Wednesday I took my C6 Corvette to Sir Walter for a sensor light issue...back in 2011 I purchased a C5 Corvette from Sir Walter and had a very ba Last Wednesday I took my C6 Corvette to Sir Walter for a sensor light issue...back in 2011 I purchased a C5 Corvette from Sir Walter and had a very bad experience with servicing my Corvette there and said I would never do business there again...I was wrong! I gave Sir Walter one more chance to service my new C6 corvette, entrusting the whole situation to Shaun Brown. It was a gamble but I won! Shaun restored my faith in Sir Walter and I have told two friends that own Corvettes to take their cars to Sir Walter for future service...Shaun saw to it that I was not ripped off and fixed the problem with honesty and even took a photo of the damaged parts...who knows, I may even purchase my next Corvette (a C7) from Sir Walter too.
