My husband had been in contact with the owner about buying a Chevy Malibu Maxx and he told us that we should come up to take a look at the car. After over an hour drive on a Wednesday, when we got the buying a Chevy Malibu Maxx and he told us that we should come up to take a look at the car. After over an hour drive on a Wednesday, when we got there we were told that the car was sold(even though my husband had talked to him the night before). We were disappointed but the sales manager Brian Maiden told us that he could have us one on Friday afternoon. We gave them a $1000 down payment and received a promise that he would call us when it arrived. Friday night my husband called to get an update and this is when the problems again. We were promised that it would be there late Friday night and he would call us in the morning after it was inspected. By two on Saturday we still hadn't received any news/calls from them. We had to call SIX times before we got any response(secretary told us he was on phone everytime we called over a five hour period). Brian swore the car would be there Saturday night and he would even meet us Sunday morning to pick up the car. Sunday comes-no call. No answer on any of the numbers "he can always be reached on". Monday comes around, still no call. My husband had to miss a work trip on Monday because he thought the car was going to be there and he needed to sign all the paperwork. After I finally got Brian on the phone, he told me it would absolutely be there and ready Tuesday morning and to come in at 10 AM. I had a bad feeling so I called before we left Tuesday to make sure everything was good to go. Car STILL wasn't there. Only after I told him that I wanted my money back did he tell me that he had no idea where the car was or when it would get there. I left a message for the owner and he called back saying that he would be at the dealership when we got there. As soon as we pulled in, Brian came running out with a refund check, said "Sorry" and walked away. I don't think he wanted us to come in and tell the owner how poorly he treated us. Our previous car was stolen, so we were paying for a rental out of pocket. They did offer a loaner car but why would we make a 2 1/2 hour drive if our car was supposed to be there the next day? I want the cost of my car rental for the day that they strung as along, Friday-Tuesday. Overall, we were promised the car would be there six times and made over 15 phone calls to them. They didn't call us one time. We gave them $1000 then Brian can't even call and keep us updated? VERY poor service. We drove over two hours to visit this store only to be told that the vehicle we were interested in was not available. I called the night previous and made sure the vehicle was there, I also gave the stoc told that the vehicle we were interested in was not available. I called the night previous and made sure the vehicle was there, I also gave the stock number. When we arrived we were told that it had been sold. And what is worse, we were told the vehicle was Sold a month ago! I just checked their website again and sure enough, it is still LISTED. My theory is, they will tell you anything to get you to the store to only sell you something else. The store manager was Rude, even went so far to say he decided what stayed and sold at his store; personally, I was under the impression that since I had the money to purchase as the consumer. His associates were very pleasant, especially Kenny and another fellow that I did not get the name of. You can believe, that we will not ever make another trip to this store again. BEWare, Beware! Make sure you know your vehicle is there. More
