I live in Pittsburgh PA. I own a company and over the years I have bought at least 40 vehicles out of state all over the East coast. This dealership was my worst experience I own a company and over the years I have bought at least 40 vehicles out of state all over the East coast. This dealership was my worst experience yet. I know car dealerships like to have "add on" costs before they close deals (paint protection stuff, expensive deordorizers, rustproofing...etc). Therefore, I asked my salesman several times to send me all the costs they add to price of car. He replied a couple times that he was very busy, but he would send them. That never happened. And since I had already purchased a plane ticket, I flew to the dealership anyway as I had planed. During the ride from the airport to the dealership, my salesman informed me that 2019 Mercedes I was buying had 2 warning lights lit on the dashboard display. One was a bad rear light. The other was an Auxiliary Battery Default. The salesmen said he would take care of both of them for me. However, since he didn't know what the problem was with Battery Default, and since it was the weekend and his mechanic was not working, he would find out what what it was, and that I would have to take to a Mercedes Dealership in Pittsburgh and "he (my salesmen) would take care of it." Right before it was time to sign papers, my salesman informed me that Silver Line Auto, hid some 'theft detection computer chip' on my car and it was going to cost me over $1,650. (later upon investigating this computer chip thing I found out the $1,650 fee was only a 2 year subscription. After that, Id have to pay yearly fees for it to work.) I said I didn't want it or need it, but my salesman said I had no choice they put one on all the cars they sell. And lastly, right before I'm going to sign the sales papers, my salesman informs me that Silver Line Auto charges $500 to do the DMV paperwork! In my whole life, I have never paid over $175 for DMV paperwork. Most cases I pay around $125. Regretfully I purchase the car and I drive the car home on the weekend. I call my salesmen on Monday to see what he found out about the Auxiliary Battery Default, and no kidding .... he says the car was sold "As is" and he wasn't responsible to fix anything. Recap: They sold me a 4 year old car with Default lights on dashboard and said they fix them then changed their minds, and added over $2,100 to cost of car at the closing. My advice, buy your used car elsewhere. More
