Hello Mr. Whiteman, When a check engine light event is triggered codes and data regarding to the error are stored within the vehicle's computers. When the code is cleared, all information relating to the code is cleared as well. When places like Autozone scan for codes they typically provide a printout of all possible outcomes but that in itself is a problem. The printouts they provide are generic and don't provide vehicle specific information. We have to start testing every item within the system to find the failure but if the code isn't active that also means the car isn't actively failing, making it extremely difficult to diagnose the issue. The car was in your pay for a total of 32 min from drop off to pick up . What could possibly be looked at and check in that time frame. I had requested 4 issues to be looked at. And you are telling me that all 4 issues were looked at and the car was road test all in That time.
