I would like to give a big kudos to one of Shottenkirk Nissan Katy employee. His name is Martin Ortega. Recently our Nissan Altima transmission has giving up on us. I made an appointment online to brin Nissan Katy employee. His name is Martin Ortega. Recently our Nissan Altima transmission has giving up on us. I made an appointment online to bring it in for diagnoses and repairs. I opted to do some research online and found out that it was a known issue to Nissan of a faulty transmission. I contacted the service department ahead of my appointment and spoke with Mr. Martin Ortega who was my assigned service advisor. I explained to Mr. Ortega the issue I'm having and my finding. Mr. Ortega was upfront with me and completely understanding. He has informed me of what to expect then he proceeded to check my warranty only to find out it expired 27 days prior to my appointment. However, Mr. Ortega encouraged me to bring my car in to have it diagnosed and walked me through the steps Shottenkirk Nissan will undertake to rectify the issue. On the date of my appointment Mr. Ortega once again took the time to explain the steps he and his team will undertake and reiterated how they are going to address my concerns and upfront with me on to expect and possible cost. He further passed on his contact information and asked me to reach out to him at any time should I have any questions and or concerns. Since I left my car with Mr. Ortega on Saturday, Nissan offices were closed. However, Mr. Ortega assured me that he will be in touch with me on Monday to go over the diagnoses results with me, more importantly to give me update on Nissan decision. In the interim Mr. Ortega asked me to gather all relevant paperwork of all services & maintenance I had performed on my vehicle outside of Shottenkirk Nissan and to email them to him. On Monday and as promised Mr. Ortega kept me updated throughout the process. The following day Mr. Ortega informed me that Nissan decided to honor my warranty and politely asked me if they me proceed with the repairs. Keep in mind Mr. Ortega could have told me here are Nissan contact information, please reach out to them and come back to us when hear back from them. I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Mr. Ortega. He has gone above and beyond his way to ensure my satisfaction not only with his dealership “Shottenkirk Nissan” relationship but with Nissan as a company. On a side note, I have been a loyal Nissan customer for years and with people like Mr. Ortega he reinforced why I continued to be Nissan customer. In fact, Mr. Ortega is my angel. After, this experience I truly believe there are still good, honest, and hardworking people out there. Mr. Ortega thank you for all what you do and keep up your A+ excellent work. More
